That XM110 is a cool rifle but you'd think for 23Grrrrrr they'd do better than a A2 stock, A2 grip and a Harris Bipod? Not that I'd scoff at it in my gun safe but .... :confused:

Alright D ... fill us in. What crown came factory and what crown did you cut to? Post-neutered looks like 11 degree target but it's tough to tell from pics sometimes. "I gots to know?" O0 C:-)

I have the Rrages.com Gen II Delrin buffer in my SD and it definitely works well ... takes a lot of the forward impact of the charging handle/bolt carrier slamming home. I'm not sure I'd be good with the loose piece of neoprene floating around up there though ... the Delrin buffer actually presses into the front of the charging handle assy. so it's permanently attached; not loose. :confused:

The lack of a "standard" for the 7.62/.308 platforms is the biggest downfall of them right now ... people are expecting the big guns to be like the 15; "every part fits everything fits everywhere". Unfortunately, that is not the case with the AR10/DPMS platforms yet. Time will tell if manufacturers figure it out and quit making their own special proprietary systems to insure their market-share! What is this new Magpul .308 magazine you speak of??? I can't imagine they've figured out a way to get around the Armalite mag release problem unless they are using steel inserts molded into the polymer magazine bodies? Do tell .... :confused:

We have a good supply of the Armalite BCG's right now ... but they are selling fast since the release of the MA-TEN combos. I know, on paper, the the BCG's are interchangeable but I personally wouldn't swap them around ... if my barrel extension is DPMS or Armalite, I would just run the matching BCG w/ head-spaced bolt and call it good. To me, it's one less potential problem to consider if you have to troubleshoot the weapon for any reason. You and I both know that parts fitment and interchangeability can really bite you in the ass sometimes ... guns and gun parts can be a very "imperfect" world. I run into multiple fitment problems on so-called "compatible" parts everyday and always laugh when I read the manufacturers claims. :o

The Armalite BCG is equally impressive ... that'll be my choice in my new Mega MA-TEN build! 8)

Just an update on the Springfield trigger job ... it is a NOTICEABLY lighter, smoother trigger pull but the reset still sucks(I am a trigger snob though). All in all I am pleased with Bill's work. :thumb:

Thanks for all the props fellas ... I worked hard on the SD to make it look and perform like it does. It's my favorite "deuce" rifle in my collection.
