  1. I run the soft spring with any ammo I use; including HV ammo which is ALL I use. I still get jams with either spring though?
  2. I'll have to get a picture of one of my best friends creation for his mailbox ... German Tiger Tank with functional turret! It truly is a work of art!
  3. Doing the same on the other side of the country ... been pouring here non-stop from Sunday afternoon until NOW! ::)
  4. Yea man ... going old school "Tom Sizemore"!
  5. That's because, you sir, are a PIONEER!
  6. Yessir ... unfortunately I have buyers remorse with my Standard. It may go up on the GB block. ::)
  7. Damn I wish you were closer ... we could just meet at the shop and LOOK through all of them!
  8. I hear ya brother ... I dropped $1800 on optics this week! IOR 4x14x50 and a CQC 3x25! :o
  9. I would like one for my A2 with the carry handle gooseneck mount ... I like them. If I had bought the FS Tactical, that'd be my choice on that rifle as well. :thumb:
  10. Having just sighted in an Eotech 517 with a laser bore sighter yesterday, I will say this ... you would NEVER want both the Eolad and the HOLO on at the same time. The laser blends right in with the HOLO reticle and you just plain lose it ... very hard to stay acquired. I would never try to view the laser through the Eotech sight window or even try to co-witness irons on it. I would just have the laser sighted in on POI @ 25 yards and call it good ... point and shoot.
  11. I'll look into that one for you Drew ... we got 'em but I'm still learning stuff daily about all the optics configs and characteristics ... TOO many to absorb for my old brain! ;D For the record, I REALLY like the TA11's and TA 33-8's ... they have way better eye relief/wide field of view than the 4X Trijis.
  12. My barrel shrouds arrived at ATI today ... now we'll see how long it takes to get the modified ones back. ::)
  13. Looking good Drew ... that Rainier outfit is "ayight"! :thumb:
  14. I sent both my barrel shrouds to ATI yesterday ... now begins the wait. >:( For the record, the shroud weighs 7.5oz so we'll see how much weight it gains to make the "powers that be" happy. Filled with concrete perhaps??? j/k
  15. Hey Madhouse ... is this stock still available, by chance? Let me know. Thanks.
  16. Looks like a damn fine day to be out with the "Drew Crew"! Nice pics. :thumb:
  17. We stake them at work, just to quell the masses that insist on staking the gas keys. My NM Young BCG is not staked but is Permatex'd, torqued to spec(60"/lbs)Loc-Tite'd. ;D
  18. Wrong in SO many ways Drew! >:D

    Who knew?

Sorry for the delayed reply asmurff ... I missed this one. The sled deck is not hydraulic; pull out 2-pc. 8' ramp from underneath and then ride up and secure. Not for the faint of heart with an 8" lifted truck. ;D [img width=800 height=600]http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p322/firstacuratl/Sledding%20Pics/IMG_1407.jpg
  20. I've got mixed feelings about them so far ... I bought 2 of them just to try them out on a couple of my AR's, since I'm not a big fan of VFG's. I haven't got to do much shooting lately so I'll have to get more trigger time to determine if they stay or go.
  21. VERY nice rodent ... I was considering doing some mods on one of my Mini's and that camo job has given me a few ideas. Thanks! :thumb:
  22. LMAO ... after seeing this thread title and recalling the e-mail I got from you the other day, I'm starting to see a trend! Our site admin has issues! ;D
  23. This info is correct. The original "faux" suppressor is completely hollow from front to back, so the BATFE must think it could be altered into a "real" suppressor. I have heard from a few sources that the replacement "faux" suppressor will have an internal sleeve that covers the entire exposed barrel; it WILL be heavier than the original but I haven't heard how much more? Regardless, this fiasco could cost you the weapon; seize & destruction order from the Black Hats. I have personally seen this happen with a friend's Stryker 12ga. that did not get registered as a "Destructive Device", as he was never notified and knew nothing about the situation until AFTER the grace period was up. He WAS the original owner and bought the weapon new but the dealer he purchased it from had a run-in with the ATF on another matter and was summarily drawn and quartered by the "man", hence no notification. That weapon was surrendered to ATF for "destruction" and no amount of appeal was going to stop them from doing just that. My advice to anyone that owns the SD is turn it in and call it a day ... there aren't enough of the rifles out there for them to NOT pursue prosecution and seizure after the grace period is up. The anti-gun administration needs to see results and this is just the type of crap they are looking for so they can pat themselves on the back at the end of the day and feel good about their "mission". I wouldn't give them the satisfaction! >:(
  24. 70-80F in Taiwan for the next 4 days ... feel bad for you guys! >:D
  25. I sure am glad I sold that POS! :thumb:
