. 103 after tax for the Fiocchi sub sonics. the Standard, High Velocity and the bulk pack CCI's went up from there. but...two trips through the door, two bricks out the door. tried to do a 100 yard group test on a few brands last week, not sure the rifle I was using (or myself) were really up for the task, but will be doing more testing in the coming weeks with the new Savage. My personal little range is getting grown over and until it gets cut a bailed, getting a little hard to see my target! There is a local range about a 10 minute drive from the house that is now doing a Wednesday happy hour between 5-7:00 pm for 10.00 bucks. Checked them out for the first time last week. Could become a weekly thing! Nice little rifle range, 10 lanes, 100 yards, Side walls, open top with target camaras and monitors in each lane. Could become a weekely thing!

I really just went shopping for a set of scope rings

I wasn't looking to own this stock, If I move forward in the silhouette stuff, once the credit card rebounds a little I will probably replace the stock with a Boyd's Hunter, thinking the blue laminate, that way I can shoot in the Hunter Class -

A man after my own heart! lol worst part (or Best) of looking all over for 22.s is the stuff a person comes home with instead! -
Last Friday I really just went shopping for a set of scope rings. looking to set something up to try to participate in a silhouette match on Sunday. Kinda a stupid turn of events, but after 5 trips to 3 different stores, came home with a Savage Mk II BSEV, I just had to have the spiral fluted stainless bull barrel. Purchased a cheap BSA to put on it right away, but there were some issues with getting rings that would work with the scope, the third trip back on Saturday to try to solve the mounting issues with the BSA, I left the store late Saturday afternoon with a set of High off set rings ... but just in case they didn't, I also purchased a 6.5-20x44 Vortex Viper that was on sale...and yet another set of rings! The off set rings did the job so I went ahead and started things out with the BSA. Not sure if the Vortex will find its way on to the rifle or if it will end up some where else!

revisited that shop today, picked up my second brick of Fiocchi Sub Sonic's, one of the choices of bricks was gone, but they did have some over priced CCI bulk 300 packs!

While Chasing a motorcycle part, I see a banner sign in front of a unit in a industrial complex area, Place turned out to be a high end tactical supply, locked front door kinda place, class 3 stuff lots of AR, Accuracy International stuff...any way, walk in and they had 3-4 different types of bricks available on the shelf, with a one brick limit, about 10.00 per brick high in price. But no lines, no crowds, no fights in front of the shelf!!! this store is about to become my dirty little secret!

looks like the 10 round plinkers can be found on flee bay<See SiteNews>, I would give consideration to spending the few extra dollars and grt the factory 10 round mags!

A mother and her young son were flying Southwest Airlines from Kansas City to Chicago. The little boy had been looking out of the window. He turned to his mother and asked, "If big dogs have baby dogs, and big cats have baby cats, why don't big planes have baby planes?" The mother couldn't think of an answer. She told her son to ask the flight attendant. He went down the aisle and asked the flight attendant, "If big dogs have baby dogs, and big cats have baby cats, why don't big planes have baby planes?" The busy flight attendant smiled and asked the boy, "Did your mother tell you to ask me?" The boy replied, "Yes, she did."... "Well," said the flight attendant, "you go and tell your mother that there are no baby planes because Southwest always pulls out on time. Have your mother explain that to you."

Thinking I might hunt some paper, water jugs, cement block, real heavy steel gongs....and might try to bag a few elusive bowling balls! The Gun is gorgeous and it peaked my interest in the store, after doing some home work on line and finding out it was 30 plus years old...I was hooked. Tried for a week to talk myself out of it!....guess you can see how that worked out!

Been having a little stress the last few weeks, had a bad day today...so went for a little shopping therapy, threw caution to the wind

Thanks Guys! My first attempt to make this deal work has fallen flat, but basically I have until Friday to pull a rabbit out of a hat so to speak (or just whip out the credit card and deal with it later) but I have not given up hope and am working on other possibilities!
-
It's not a 22 but working a deal that just might make me a owner of a Nikko 7000 Golden Eagle chambered in 375 H&H, gun looks hardly fired and the wood is almost perfect with very miner flaws, should know if I can put it together by the end of the week!

pretty cool! -
kinda crazy, stand in line and then its like winning the jack pot just to purchase a few bricks of 22 just yesterday had a guy on a local by sell trade face book page put up a add for 700 rounds, was asking 175 He turned down a 125.00 offer some lady put up...he is down to 140.00 today. With the writing on the wall, picked up a couple of hundred rounds of Russian manufactured 7.69 x39 while at Cabela's also.
-
Scored last Saturday! Cabela's had a door buster Ad that had a 1000 round bulk pack for 44.95. Guess something went wrong and the substituted 2 bricks. Any way first 400 people through the door received the 1000 rounds. Got there a 1/2 hour before they opened the line extended from the front of the store, down the side and I ended up just around the corner at the rear of the store. The flyer had a lot more then the 22's on the door buster specials, but standing in line, I did not talk to a single person that was not after the 22's. Before they opened the doors, a employee was going though the line asking if every one was after the 22's. I asked her if most of the people were there for the 22's and she said yes, everybody! As far as I saw, not one person through the door did not grab the 1000 rounds and they handed them out right there after you came through the door! The wife was 298 and I was 299..lol they had a guy at the door with a clicker!

took mine out the other day, about 50 yards out with a red dot, the dot completely obscured the target out to the 8 ring, but put a ton of shots in the 8 ring and tighter with a very nice 2 inch hole blown through my backing board -
Krylon?..lol
