Microgunner
What a beautiful crown. You do it yourself?
imschur
Yes, I have a decent lathe at my day job. What you cant see is the lathe jaws left some small marks in the teflon despite my best effort. Next time I will try it in a friends shop. He has a lathe setup with collets. The marks aren't even noticeable unless I point them out but irks me none the less.I did get guidance on the proper cutting insert. I hadn't turned stainless before. imschur
Dude, I could have you doing this in 5 minutes. The big deal is making sure the bore is properly indicated and true. Thats why the tools brownells sell all work based on the bore rather than the OD.It's all in the setup. 30 minute setup. 10 Minutes work
Madhouse
Sorry for the ignorance, but why apply the crown?
FS2KSTD
Alright D ... fill us in. What crown came factory and what crown did you cut to? Post-neutered looks like 11 degree target but it's tough to tell from pics sometimes. "I gots to know?" O0 C:-)
imschur
yep, I simply removed the threads for the muzzle device and cut the crown.
FS2KSTD
Gotcha ... liking the exposed target crown better than a muzzle device. :thumb:
