Snowblind Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Here is my latest project. I wanted a full sized, light-weight 22 with a threaded barrel for packing and plinking. I chose the Ruger MarkIII 22/45 with removable grip panels. I replaced the solid steel factory upper with a Tactical Solutions Pac-lite upper. It is amazing how little this set-up weighs. A standard MarkIII is 44 oz, the standard 22/45 is 34oz and the Ruger threaded 22/45 is 32oz.This set-up is 22oz. Fully loaded and with a Silencerco aluminum 22Sparrow suppressor attached it is only 28oz. ;Dother add-ons included a Volquartsen MarkII trigger accurizing kit and a Pachmayr grip
Microgunner Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Not only good looking but practical as well.
Snowblind Posted April 5, 2011 Author Report Posted April 5, 2011 very nice sanman28! How do you like it?
sanman28 Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 very nice sanman28! How do you like it?Love it. Although Ive got a browning buckmark/trail lite that I shoot more. Better trigger IMO. Both are very quiet suppressed.
Snowblind Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 Love it. Although Ive got a browning buckmark/trail lite that I shoot more. Better trigger IMO. Both are very quiet suppressed. That's why I went with a Mark II volquartsen accurizing kit in it, that and to eliminate the annoying magazine disconnect.
