wobblinwheel Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 This is what I do when I can't sleep...
asmurff Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Good work and I know it isn't easy, I did the spider on my Spike's lower.
George Wood Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Very well done. Care to share your technique?
asmurff Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I used Testor's model paint and a toothpick to get the paint into the grooves. Then a q-tip with paint remover to clean up any oops.
wobblinwheel Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 I also used Testors enamel model paint, well-thinned, and a small paint brush. After psint dried, used a cloth LIGHTLY dampened with "Goo-Gone", and briskly rubbed the overage off. I found the secret for success by using VERY LITTLE solvent, and a lot of RUBBING. You don't want to disolve the paint in the grooves with too much solvent.
