Microgunner Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 We have in stock (2) used, like new, HK pistols. A P2000SK .40S&W and a .45C. Both are beautiful and are calling to me. Which one should I buy? I already own a HK USP.40 and a HK P7 and am very fond of their products. Can't afford both. I'm more partial to .45ACP but the P2000SK is much smaller and easier to tote. I need a fix bad.
rodent.22 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 I'd go with the .45, fun to shoot, cheap ammo and a never-ending market when deciding to sell or trade....
Microgunner Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 Photos of the two pistols in question. The 45c DA/SA is on top. Note the O-ringed barrel.
Microgunner Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 And the P2000SK .40S&W DAO on bottom. It is noticeably smaller and has tritium sights.
Microgunner Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 It makes for a more repeatable barrel/slide alignment which in turn enhances accuracy. Kinda like HK's 21st century version of the 1911 barrel bushing.
imschur Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I use the Briley setup on my Gold Cup. works well
Microgunner Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 Me too. At least when I used to own a GCNM. Worked extremely well.
Microgunner Posted May 28, 2011 Author Report Posted May 28, 2011 I made the leap and bought the 45C. Man, I'm in love with this pistol. It's smaller grip fits me much better than my HK USP40. I find the slide very easy to rack, the controls come natural to the touch and it just plain looks great. It has a hammer drop safety, can be carried cocked and locked, hammer down & safety on or hammer down safety off just like my USP40. Should fit anyone's preference. I think I'll order a Blackhawk CQB holster for it. I have one for my SIG P226 and really like it as well.
imschur Posted May 28, 2011 Report Posted May 28, 2011 crap I was afraid of this..Your an expensive friend
