steel609
I love the look of these rifles, but have heard many rumors about being unreliable and less than desireable quality. For those that have one, what is your personal experience? imschur
Ive had one since around January and its been fine. Granted I havent put 50,000 rounds down range. The soft screws do seem to be an issue but thats pretty easily rectified and in my opinion should be done the first time you disassemble the gun http://rrages.com/screws/net.htm. I also seem to recall that after the first shipment there were some changes (Generation 2) that have been in place ever since.rrages also has an aftermarket buffer which looks like a worthy preventive measure
Madhouse
I'll tell ya, I sure haven't had any issues with mine. I love shooting the GSG, it has never hiccupped with a single FTF or FTE, and I've run hundreds upon hundreds of rounds through mine. It's been very reliable, and very consistent. Plinking steel silhouettes with the GSG using just iron sights is a blast! The quality is very good, imho. The only thing I would criticize is the slight amount of movement in the stock from side to side, not that it has any effect when you're shooting, just when you're handling it.Get one, you'll love it. Microgunner
Mine works great. Love it.
Longitude Zero
I love mine. Be sure the locking block screw is kept tight. When it backs off reliability goes out the window.
Madhouse
This weekend pretty much proved that my GSG-5 is the only 22 I have that will consistently eat that crappy Remington Golden Bullet. :thumb:
Longitude Zero
I am glad to know I am not the only who hates that Remington crap.
