I take it to the range every week, using different ammo. Sometimes it functions great..the next time, with same ammo,it has  FTF all the time. BTW, I clean it flawlessly each time. Its like a woman-I never know what to expect!

Hey 44TB, sorry to hear about your problems. I would suggest getting a few bulk boxes of Federal at WalMart, I have found that ammo to be reliable and accurate in my Colt. (with the exception of one box that Federal offered to replace) Adjust your mainspring in 4 complete turns from flush. Make sure the rifle is clean and lubed, and don't forget Rodent's advice of cleaning the firing pin. Get 500 to a 1000 rounds of that ammo through it and see if that settles it down.

44terryb. i know wut u mean. this happens when u clean the rifle.. sometimes, sumthing isnt in the right place.. or sumthing wasnt tight enuff... or in my case.. i didnt oil it "good" enuff, but after u sort evrything out and u take ur time and redo the cleaning and make sure everythings right, tight, and oiled up... u can go the whole afternoon with no failures. just like i did today.
