Noximus03
I've done this on my M&P and Glock hand guns. It makes a serious difference in this Florida heat. I figured I could always change the grip if I had to....looks like I wont have to. Hope you all approve.

Tal
I was thinking the same thing...What's it made of???
bdavison
Appears to be the stock grip, just re-textured with a soldering iron.Ive done it to many of my grips as well...although I use a slightly different technique.[img width=800 height=537]https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/310420_2098479741288_1224218575_32046187_1163669745_n.jpg

bdavison
It really doesnt take too long. Most of the grips can be done in about 30 minutes. Its much cheaper to do it yourself than to send it off to robar.
imschur
neat stuff. I drink waaaaay to much coffee to attempt something like that.
Noximus03
bdavison is 100% right. what you see in my pics is the stock grip that came with it. all i did was lay a soldering iron to it. while from his pics of his grip its obvious he only used the very tip of the iron. in my pics, you can see that I laid my iron on its side to get more of a 'channel' effect. he's also right....it really does take about 30 mins or so. BD- looks GREAT brother. anyone can do this, but i caution you....dont use an iron that you care about. the one i use cost me about $15. doing this WILL ruin the tip. also, if youre doing it for the 1st time, try it out on a backstrap, or another grip you dont care about that way you can try different angles/techniques and not worry about jacking up your go-to grip. hope it helps.
