asmurff Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 I did my requalification for my NM Concealed Carry this morning. NM requires you qualifiy with largest caliber you plan to carry, and with the type of pistol you'll carry concealed (revolver, semi-automatic or both). Most people just qualify with .45acp caliber and shoot both revolver and automatic. Luckily the gun shop I frequent also teaches the course and has loaner pistols in 45 semi and revolver for those who don't have them. You have to buy their ammo to use in their pistols, which was $20. He didn't charge me for my ammo for his revolver because my wife and I have bought 5 gun there, I buy most of my ammo, alot of accessories and I've steered quite a few people to them. The requalification itself was $40. The course of fire is 10 rounds at 7 yards and 15 rounds at 3 yards for both types of pistols. Pretty hard to not qualify if you doing any shooting at all. Afterwards they have a fun drill, today they did modified an El Presidente. Weather was nice, shooting is almost always fun so it was a good day.
imschur Posted October 10, 2011 Report Posted October 10, 2011 excellent. Nice to know even gun friendly states have silly laws
