nhgunnut Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 Ok I am trying to help a friend I work with out build a AR in 22 LR. Now he lives in New England's "State of Despair" Massachusetts. So it is a Ban state and Collapsible Stocks are out. Has anyone here Swapped the Collapsible Sock on a Plum Crazy Lower for a A2?
edgecrusher Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 i live in mass and there are ways to get things done. are you using an ar-15 lower or a .22lr lower ?
nhgunnut Posted January 8, 2012 Author Report Posted January 8, 2012 I am using a Plumcrazy composite AR15 Lower with a CMMG 22lr Upper With 10 round Black Dog Mags a Pinned Yankee Hill Brake and bobbing the the Bayo Lug. I need to disable the the collapsible stock.
edgecrusher Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 one way is to use a bridgeport and drill through the the lower portion where the six position lugs are. i did it and used roll pins and then did two small spot welds to cover the pin holes, then clean up and paint. i thought i saw fixed carbine buffer tubes somewhere before, but can't find anything right now. if nothing else gets posted here try posting this in our .308ar forum http://308ar.com/forum
retcpt Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I switched the 6 pt stock that came with my Plum Crazy for a 4 pt. I was making a XM clone. All parts install or remove the same as an alum lower. No Different. In other words what works for a standard AR for parts will work for a Plum Crazy. Go for it!
nhgunnut Posted January 15, 2012 Author Report Posted January 15, 2012 thanks swapped them over to a A2 today no issues
