techmike Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 What do you guys prefer for ear protection? I wear light duty plugs for .22, but when a higher caliber is also using the range I have to wear muffs. They do not work so well with the Colt..... What's your recommendation? :confused:TM
imschur Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 I researched plugs a few years back for work. Nothing works as well as those little yellow foam ones you roll up. I leave them in all the time at the range. I pop on muffs in addition to the plugs when Im shooting centerfire. Typically Im not bothered by others when using the plugs unless they are way to close.
Madhouse Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Sounds pretty consistent with me, foam or rubber plugs shooting 22 (or suppressed), muffs on the pistol range or shooting centerfire.I love shooting suppressed, did I mention that? ;D
asmurff Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 I use the yellow also, and Radians noise cancelling earmuff. I didn't know this to real recently your NRA membership come with a plan for hearing protection.
