Microgunner Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Tampa Police Dept sprang a surprise inspection on us this morning. Damn, what a pain in the ass.
Microgunner Posted February 23, 2012 Author Report Posted February 23, 2012 They didn't say anything, but, you could tell they were jealous.Four detectives. They were carrying Glocks and S&W M&Ps. TPD detectives make about 100k per year. You'd think they'd upscale their carry pieces wouldn't you.Too much money blown on donuts I guess.
imschur Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 I read that quick and I thought it said "Blow and Donuts" ;D
asmurff Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 How often do you have to deal with the inspections?
Microgunner Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 Between ATF, Tampa Police Dept, Hillsborough County Sheriffs and Dept of Agriculture, about 6 or 7 inspections per year.Pawn shops in Florida are highly regulated.
asmurff Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Okay I can understand the first 3 but what does the Dept of Ag have to do with it?
Microgunner Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 They're the Dept that pawnbroker licenses originate from. They're also the Dept that issues concealed weapon permits.
Tal Posted February 25, 2012 Report Posted February 25, 2012 They're the Dept that pawnbroker licenses originate from. They're also the Dept that issues concealed weapon permits.Kind of like, down here, the Texas Railroad Commision, actually controls the oil fields...
