Wax Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 Hello! I'm considering buying a Rem 597 VTR, so figured I'd come check out the site. I briefly had a pretty built 10/22 with Archangel stock I got on a trade, but couldn't justify owning a .22 that was worth so much money! I ended up selling it, but it was a lot of fun to shoot. I want a new .22 for plinking and small game hunting (maybe some sort of shooting events, but I really don't know what exists). I basically have narrowed it down to either the 597 heavy barrel with standard stock (combo gun with stock Rem scope), or the VTR. I can't really decide (VTR is only $85 more), so I wanted to come here to see what this tacticool craze is all about and maybe convince myself one way or another.
