techmike Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 I just read on Fox News that some poor schmuck in Connecticut has been charged misdemeanor and felony charges for killing a 460 pound bear that was in his garage/back yard. Misdemeanor for killing the bear, felony for a pistol possession. Guidelines from DEEP (Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection) recommend that anyone who spots a bear should "enjoy it from a distance." Doesn't say why the felony charge. Hell of a shot for a pistol.
Tal Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 I'm sure Drew can answer this better than me, but a lot of my colleagues live and work in CT. I'm told to own a handgun you have to through 3 kinds of hell, and at the end you get the privelage of driving around with the handgun in pieces, in the trunk..
