Longitude Zero Posted January 23, 2014 Report Share Posted January 23, 2014 A friend who returned from SHOT 2014 said the manufacturers said that as far as they are concerned 2014 for rimfire ammo will be no better than 2013 and they have no real clue if it will ever get back to pre-Newtown availability. techmike Posted February 4, 2014 Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 I stopped by the Gunder Mtn. store in Toledo today, they have tons of .22lr ammo. Federal & Winchester. I bought a brick of Federal 40 gn solid for $24.90, and a can (325 rds) of Federal 36 gn hp for $19. Went to buy dog food, and came home with nearly 2000 rounds of ammo! Week before that bought six 100 round boxes of CCI Mini Mags for $7.48 per box, and before that, CCI Standard Velocity "Target" in 50 round boxes for $2.47 per box. Wal Mart is the way to go for .22! wobblinwheel Posted March 6, 2014 Report Share Posted March 6, 2014 Maybe you're going there at the wrong time? Here, oddly enough, all ammo shipments were showing up late at night. After 8 or 9 pm. Just so happens I usually shop there after these times, and would check the ammo situation each time. I think it was luck on my part, as many times they would sell out before I even left the store!
