techmike Posted February 14, 2015 Report Posted February 14, 2015 What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?I remember one time while hiking with my girlfriend in northern Michigan, and out of nowhere came this huge brown bear charging us and was she mad! We must have been near one of her cubs. Anyway, if I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire I would not be here today! Just one shot to my girlfriend's kneecap was all it took.....the bear got her and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace. It's one of the best pistols in my collection... :thumb:

asmurff Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 This was extra funny to me, because we are occasionally out in the wilds of New Mexico, I carry a Taurus Judge, with +P loads, my wife carries her LC9 as she always does, so I tease her that while she pisses off the bear I'll be running.
