asmurff Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 I shot my first Tactical .22 Rifle match today and finished last as I expected never having done it before. I had a very good time in spite of the heat, it was 97 degrees as we were finishing up. I think I learned enough to do much better next time. Such as;I went into the first stage with my scope magnification set to high and couldn't find the targets. The shooting while moving diagonally was very difficult I'll have to find someplace to practice that.Wasn't sure how to handle the barricades and went to the right side instead of left (I'm a leftie) and realized I couldn't see all the targets without moving from behind the barricade so had to reposition.Being so out of shape didn't help matters either :-[
asmurff Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 Were you giggling the whole time?Only the time I had five hits for 5 steel plates
techmike Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 That sounds like fun! The club I belong to, we can only shoot at paper targets. The rules actually state you can only load 1 round at a time. I am betting you will do much better next time! TM
asmurff Posted July 18, 2010 Author Report Posted July 18, 2010 I think so, plus I think I found I can practice the moving and shooting in our close in pistol bays, they might not be that wide but it will work.
