Microgunner
Ellett Brothers Wholesale just got a batch in. Anyone have any experience with them? I have a GSG-5 and like it. I'd think the AK-47 would be in the same league. They offer the polymer stock with lots of picatinny rails or the traditional wooden stock, both the same price. Should I treat myself and which one? imschur
I want one in wood ;D
steel609
I always liked the looks of an AK, and with GSG's reputation, it should be a fine weapon. As for which stocks, I'm kind of a traditionalist and like the wood stocks. But, the tactical stocks would be a cool addition as well.Ok.....so I'm no help. :-\
Microgunner
Yep, I'm leaning toward the wood myself, if I order one.

steel609
One of my local shops has the AK with wood stocks.I'm impressed with it compared to my Armscor AK22.
Microgunner
Not as nice (robust) looking as I'd hoped. Much more toy like than their GSG-5. Ordered mine with the 24rnd. amgazine, came with the 2 rnd (yes two) magazine????? Been on teh phone trying to get a replacement. I'll let y'all know how it shoots. Microgunner
The guy at ATI said the 2 shot magazine was for the German market only. Was accidentally shipped with my rifle. Repalcement 24 round magazine is on the way.

Microgunner
Cool-looking unit!2-round?!? LOL, I wonder why they did that...Well, the 2 rnd mag was intended for the German market only according to the importer so I'd guess it's because of some oppresive German law. Microgunner
I want one of these. I need to see if it is CT legal. If you'd scrape off all the bumps it'd probably be legal in CT. They don't like bumpy guns in New England, I've heard. imschur
I was wondering what was at the end of the barrel. So thats just a turned profile then?
Microgunner
I was wondering what was at the end of the barrel. So thats just a turned profile then? It's just a screw on attachment that camoflages the .22 bore. It could be replaced with a flash supressor or muzzle brake I believe. Microgunner
Fired the Kalashnikov this morning. About 250rnds of cheap Remington bulk Golden Bullets. All shots standing at 15 yards. Only one malfunction, a FT Eject. Was grouping about 2", but I wasn't really trying to wring out it's accuracy potential. Just firing for function. It handled great. Magazine easy to load. I gotta say, it was a lot of fun to shoot and I can't wait to give it a real workout. It's a keeper...so far.
