Ellett Brothers Wholesale just got a batch in. Anyone have any experience with them? I have a GSG-5 and like it. I'd think the AK-47 would be in the same league. They offer the polymer stock with lots of picatinny rails or the traditional wooden stock, both the same price. Should I treat myself and which one?

I always liked the looks of an AK, and with GSG's reputation, it should be a fine weapon.

As for which stocks, I'm kind of a traditionalist and like the wood stocks. But, the tactical stocks would be a cool addition as well.

Ok.....so I'm no help.  :-\

Not as nice (robust) looking as I'd hoped. Much more toy like than their GSG-5. Ordered mine with the 24rnd. amgazine, came with the 2 rnd (yes two) magazine????? Been on teh phone trying to get a replacement. I'll let y'all know how it shoots.

Cool-looking unit!

2-round?!?  LOL, I wonder why they did that...

Well, the 2 rnd mag was intended for the German market only according to the importer so I'd guess it's because of some oppresive German law.

I want one of these. I need to see if it is CT legal.

If you'd scrape off all the bumps it'd probably be legal in CT. They don't like bumpy guns in New England, I've heard.

you got that right. We have an evil feature law. You can only have two of the five evil features.

1. Flash Supressor

2. High Cap Mag

3. Pistol Grip

4. Collapsible Stock

5. Bayonet Lug

Silly laws

Well, it has no flash supressor, collapsible stock or bayonet lug, so maybe it's legal as it comes out of the box.

I was wondering what was at the end of the barrel. So thats just a turned profile then?

It's just a screw on attachment that camoflages the .22 bore. It could be replaced with a flash supressor or muzzle brake I believe.

Fired the Kalashnikov this morning. About 250rnds of cheap Remington bulk Golden Bullets. All shots standing at 15 yards. Only one malfunction, a FT Eject. Was grouping about 2", but I wasn't really trying to wring out it's accuracy potential. Just firing for function. It handled great. Magazine easy to load. I gotta say, it was a lot of fun to shoot and I can't wait to give it a real workout. It's a keeper...so far.
