  1. Since that post I decided to make my barrel adapter from 4130 steel rather than aluminum at 15.87mm end to end. My attachments have a matching thread to screw right on. The internal diameter is what I call "zero tolerance" in that it is a very snug fit around the barrel and thus holds it perfectly centered in the adapter.

  2. These are not known for match grade accurate. Too much flex in the receivers. But they normally shoot much better than that.

  3. Been wanting to build a nice portable shooting bench for some time but have just not been able to find the time! Was using a old, small Formica table with fold out sides...but in and out of the truck, uneven ground, etc and its age...just was taking its toll. I had a old Black and Decker Workmate sitting around doing not much, so I started using it..still with the intent of building something nice. Then in one of those poof moments, It hit me! I could just build a new insert for it! Its stable, it folds up nice, I own it! a piece of one inch recycled plywood, a couple of 2x4's that actually were shaved down to the proper size in my Bridgeport. One shooting bench, zero cash out lay! Might make some changes so it can simply be converted to a left hand bench. Thinking about maybe covering it with some carpet. And a Stool! have some ideas about how to do a nice adjustable stool on the cheap!

  5. I am very happy with my SiCo Sparrow. Made of stainless so it's easy to clean and it looks good too!

  6. If I were ever forced to bash someone in the head with a handgun it would be in a life and death situation and only after the handgun became completely useless otherwise, so, for me, it's a moot point. I agree, the SR22 is a very nice and affordable pistol. It's aluminum slide makes it instantly superior to it's direct competitors, the Walther P22 and the SIG Mosquito's zinc alloy slides. I'll end up owning a SR22 someday.

  8. I thinking of getting one of these, the one with the picatinney to use with my Silencerco Sparrow.

  9. I've fire lapped several rimfire barrels and truth be told, none realized any accuracy improvement over the pre-lapped groups. I believe fire lapping rimfires (or plug lapping for that matter) is a waste of time. I don't even think competition shooters lap their rimfire barrels, or even clean them very often.
