  1. I made it a poll for you. I haven't seen a titanium variant. Do you have any quality pics for comparison?
  2. Im not sure they have reached the public yet but BDM is a quality organization.
  3. My old man just sent me this. Its where we used to snowmobile. The place is "Owls Head" NY http://www.trailsidemtnview.com/Trailpics.html I sure miss doing this...
  4. I noticed Sinclair has "Match" .22lr ammo here. In fact its the only .22 ammo they offer. Price wise its pretty expensive and not typical Wolf Ammo prices. Has anyone here tried either variety?
  5. Thanks, Im very curious.

  7. Black Dog Machine will be introducing magazines for the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 Feb 2010

  9. Yeah me too. I wouldnt bother me so much if he was up front about what they were., I would have gave them to him any way. He was into restoring old cars and Indian motorcycles and not interested in flipping them for a buck..
  10. Has anyone used or seen these in person? Im thinking of picking up a few.
  11. I saw this on the Brownells site here. Pricey but an interesting modification none the less. Probably awesome for low noise applications. What do you guys think?
  12. My grandfather gave my old man a bunch of old wrenches in a wooden crate. We kicked them around for years. They were odd sizes and shapes, not much use around the house so my old man told me to bring them to my work where I was a maintenance mechanic. There they sat until an old timer electrician came in to do some work. He saw them sitting in a corner and asked if he could have them. So naturally I gave them to him as I liked the guy quite a bit. Anyhow some time later he came back for another job and I asked him about the tools. He went on to ask if I had noticed all the tools had the Ford logo on them. I had noticed. He went on to tell me that the tools including the wooden crate where the tool kit that shipped with model T Fords when new. Go figure.
  13. I was not aware of that. Do you have any more info? tool types? pictures? I collect old tools a little. Reminds of a story for another topic.

    Fishing?

I keep a 4' rod and a micro real behind the seat of my pickup. Armed with a floating Rebel Minnow or Rapala Im prepared to fish anywhere the opportunity arises. A few years ago my dad sent me to look at cabin in NY as he was considering moving back up there from FL. This cabin was on this neat little pond. Check out the monster native trout I caught. The other pictures are the Salmon River in Malone NY. Thats where I spent the best times of my life.
  16. This is the look I like.
  17. Are there any good aftermarket coatings or process's for coloring stainless steel to either dark blue or black? I would like to make a stainless 1911 two tone.
  18. Thanks for the tip. That rifle is looking pretty darn sweet.

    Fishing?

Any of you guys like to fish? Im an avid fisherman. I spent about 30 years of weekends and vacations crawling around New Yorks Adirondacks for trout. Sure wish I had a digital camera back then. Here in CT I mostly fish for bass. I had a 1988 Ranger 363V bass boat up until about two years ago. Now im content to fish from shore at some local lakes and reservoirs that have been open to the public.
  20. I have a friend offering me a great deal on a new Leupold scope. Not really on my list but its too good a deal to pass on. It will be a perfect optic for my Remington 700 22-250. My "Planned" purchase will be another 1911 for a web site project. Depending on what I spend on the 1911 I would like to get a .22 of some sort either a 10-22 or some sort of CT legal tactical 22. and on the side I still have parts trickling in for another DPMS LR-308 .308 AR and Im reconfiguring my 1993 Colt HBAR from its A2 configuration to something closer to an M4. I still remember buying that rifle like it was yesterday.
  21. Nice! We are actually just missing the moisture for once. Its pretty freaking cold though. I wouldnt mind a kick ass snow storm
  22. Yeah it makes you wonder what the reason is for sure.
