  5. Do any of you guys know if theres a particular rope that will hold up to the elements? I was thinking of switching to stainless wire rope but its pricey and tough on tree limbs
  6. I think we are from the same mold. My old lady is always getting on me about what I spend on things. If she only knew what they really cost ;D
  7. Im like you microgunner. The real cost of an item isnt the problem so much as buying all the other stuff that you "must have" to go with it. Amazon.com had such a great price on the camera and lens combo that I was able to pick up a case a few memory cards,RF remote and still come out cheaper then many of the other outlets. Fortunately the lens Nikon sells with this kit covers 95% of anything I want to do. For now I will continue to use the little woman's tripod.
  8. Ive been using the little woman's camera a Nikon D70 for about a year. She's been asking to borrow it back from me for a while now. The problem is much of my time is spent taking pictures then using Adobe Photoshop CS4 to hide my poor photography skills. So after a lot of thought I decided it was time to get my own DSLR and get more proficient at taking pictures. I spend so much time taking and retaking pictures then editing them that it takes the joy out of it. I had a hard time deciding between a Canon EOS 50D and a Nikon D90. I was leaning pretty heavily towards the Canon as it comes with software that Nikon charges $150 for. But in the end I decided to go with the Nikon as the little woman has Nikon lenses and a speedlight that are compatible with the D90. This software Im referring to is called Nikon Camera Control 2. The great thing about the software is it will allow me to see my images, control the settings and take the picture right from my pc. This should greatly reduce the amount of time I spend messing with the pictures.

  11. February 4, 2010 By David M. Goldman on February 4, 2010 11:09 PM The ATF has recently made a decision to review Trusts for legal sufficiency. While this may slow things down for those using generic trust for NFA purchases (Quicken, Legal Zoom, Gun Store Trusts) I think its a good idea and will protect many from unknowingly violating the NFA. We have seen several issues where the ATF is declaring trusts to be invalid that are in fact valid under various state laws. They claim they are not practicing law in those states and will not give legal advise. They suggest that you have the trust reviewed by a lawyer to tell you why it is invalid or make changes to the trust to make it valid. If your trust was rejected by ATF we can help by reviewing and or amending the trust with our network of 75 attorneys in more than 40 states. 19. Im very fussy with footwear. Ive been searching for one boot that I can wear all year through all the elements without issue. One year ago at Optics Planet I found that boot in the BlackHawk Military Warrior Wear Black Ops Weatherproof Boots. Not only are my feet warm and dry and dry, never soaked with sweat. These boots are without question the most comfortable shoes of any style that I have ever owned or tried. They have now gone four seasons with no sign of serious wear.Today I finally broke a lace. I highly recommend these boots.
