    Mossberg 42MB

Any idea on the value? I like that scope.
  2. Wow a whole lot more for what appears to be about the same features.
  3. My wife and daughter went they loved it, I just don't like theaters, I'm always uncomfortable in one. Now if we had reclining leather seats in one here hmmmmm!?!?
  4. Authors are James E House & Kathleen A House & Brownells has it http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/cid=0/k=customize+ruger/t=P/ksubmit=y/Products/All/search=customize_ruger
  5. Attempting to send good vibes techmike's way.
  6. I picked up the Brownells book Customize the Ruger 10/22 even had a coupon so I do it at a third off. ;D
  7. The one about taxes on guns, is a non-player. though introduced,it has no sponsors and hasn't been heard in a single committee. Obama can sign all the treaties he wants he isn't the approving authority.
  8. Sounds like it will be a fun day.
  9. Am I correct in assuming you can only paint those areas that will not heat up excessively?
  10. Yelp "Whip me beat me make me write bad checks for guns." >:D
  11. Is there a Harley in the entryway?
  12. Drew have you ever been accused of being a trouble maker >:D
  13. Took the new 10/22 to the range today to sight in the scope and to break in the rifle. But 210 rounds through it Sighting in was easy, left to right was dead on ;D. Vertically was off by about 6 inches, but the Simmons 4x32 was very easy to adjust. The rifle is fantastic, I had 3 failure to feeds early on, on the third one I realized the charging handle was catching the sleeve of my jacket, adjusted my grip never had another one. With it sighted and supported with a bipod the groups are well under an inch. I have a single spinner target, and was able to hit the larger lower circle while it was still spinning 4 or 5 times, something I could never do with my bolt action Marlin. All in all I like it
  14. No fair!! Actually I'm just jealous >:D
  15. Cool, we like new pictures :thumb:
  16. Not to brag but I can still usually go in the early afternoon here in New Mexico and not freeze anything off, as long as the wind isn't blowing.
  17. Does the scope flip up to load or is it offset enough?
  18. Voting wise we were a big help evenly split three ways lol.
  19. Very nice job, I like the mix of OD and black.
  20. My wife only goes with me one out of 10 times since she still works, I don't and go during the week usually. Now that her hip is healing up maybe we'll go more often. I still like my time alone at it I can practice as I like and as long as I like, she usually doesn't want to stay as long as I do. Maybe Tasha will go more now since she has the bow, I'm not ready to let her shoot in the backyard yet, she had a few errant ones yesterday. Next weekend if the weather is decent we are taking a couple of the ladies she works with and ones husband if the weather is nice. The hubby and one lady have never shot before so we'll be teaching.
  21. All three of us went shooting today. It was the first time my step-daughter Tasha has ever shot anything bigger than a BB gun. We took my Browning Buckmark, Beretta 92FS, and Citadel 3.5 inch 1911 and my wife's XD .45 Compact. She fired all of those and did suprisingly well. I think 9mm will be her speed, along with a .22 for fun. I also took my first reloaded 9mm rounds and with 15 managed to make a fair size single hole in a gnome target  Then we went to the archery area so we could all try out the Tasha's new bow. Didn't spend to much time at that, the wind was picking up and it was getting cold. All of us managed to keep the arrows in the hay bales except 2 Tasha shot as she was shivering. After that we ran up real quick to the shotgun area and let both my wife and Tasha shoot my Charles Daly Tactical Pump 12 gauge just for grins, by now it was getting seroiusly windy. Wife fired 5 rounds, Tasha fired one and handed it back to me. So lastly I went and just did a quick function check of the new 10/22 with the Hot Lips magazine only 25 rounds but this is gonna be fun, I still need to go and sight-in the scope. Even with the wind a fun afternoon.
  22. They Hot Lips magazine worked flawlessly when I went to the range today.
  23. I was planning on the Speical Grade which are those with new stocks, barrels and sling, and a refurbished receiver.
  24. I'd go with the RIA GI also. I have one and it is a solid pistol for a very decent price.
  25. I've been trying to get started in the IDPA just for training, but have had something come up almost every month since I went to observe in September to see if it was mild enough exertionwise for me to handle. My gun club has a match a month and several people good enough to compete a state level and up.
