They had their new G4 1911 stole out from under them by BUL and Magnum Research, I'm sure there is more than that, it may have just been the last straw. Waiting to see who they're going to set up for warranty work, I do have one of their Field Tactical Pump Shotguns.

I like to fish, first night of Walleye season in NY was always fun. Fishing in NM is a very iffy thing if you don't have a boat. If you shore fish you need to take a gun for snakes.

I'm seriously considering a Garand from CMP, but haven't convinced myself yet.

I want to put a good optic on my 10/22 and I don't think the 1X red dots or reflex type are going to work for these eyes. So my question is at what magnification is over kill on a .22 at a maximum of 100 yards. I've been looking at some of the varmit scopes or should I stick with rimfire scopes.

So the news reports of the football crowds behavior are not exaggerated. I like to once or twice a year go watch the local minor league baseball team play. They are the Albuqerque Isotopes the Triple A team for the Dodgers. The fans are well behaved and Isotope Park is very nice, with good food and drink. However, as much as I like baseball in person it can sometimes be as exciting as watching grass grow. I've often wondered if you could combine baseball with trap, skeet or sporting clays :grin:

I've thought about writing legislators in Washington, but haven't decided if it's appropriate or not since I'm not a resident. I know the gun banners have no problem voicing their opinion where they aren't residents, so maybe I should. mcekim2 do you have the names of the fence sitters who might be nudged in the right direction with a well reasoned argument.

You know you get leary of the words "drop-in" and "no gunsmith reguired" but this stock really is both. It was done with disassembly and assembly in less than 20 minutes and I was taking my time. Only problem I had was a sharp edge on the ATI which I cut myself on.
