Airport would be Denver, Colorado for the closest international airport, but you may want to check Albuquerque, New Mexico also to see which is cheapest. You won't be able to get a direct international flight into Albuquerque but may be able to Denver. Renting a van would be your best bet either of those airports are over 200 miles (322 kilometers) from Whittington. Just remember drive on the right lol, I forgot once on our trip to Ireland last may, thankfully my reflexes are still quick. As far as coming through customs with guns I have no idea. I'd bet the NRA would have this info for you. In Colorado or New Mexico as long as you don't try carrying them concealed you are good to go, both states have no problems with weapons in vehicles. As far as the silencer try checking with the New Mexico Department of Public Safety http://www.dps.nm.org/. I'll also ask the guys at my gun shop they are very knowledgeable about the local laws. Yes you may have problems at these altitudes, but no more than some shortness of breath. The main thing in coming to New Mexico is to drink lots of water, I worked as a tour guide here for awhile and had numerous people from more humid areas end up dehydrated enough to require medical attention while on tour. Our average relative humidity during the day time is rarely above 30% in the summer and if you aren't accustom to it, it will suck the moisture right out of you.

I've started saving for a CMP Garand hopefully by this summer.

International Defensive Pistol Association. Scenario base pistol matches gear to concealed carry pistols, only minimum modifications allowed to guns, no reflex sights or race guns. Very good practice if you carry concealed. The IDPA web site http://www.idpa.com/ To give you an idea check out the Postal Match Scenarios link on the right side of the home page.

Exactly, I know the NRA and other 2nd Amendment Rights groups have really been stressing that all gun owners are in this together. They have been even teaming up groups supporting other threatened rights i.e. Freedom of Speech and state rights. The black gun becoming more acceptable also has a lot to do with the new generation of GIs coming home and wanting guns they know, just like our dads and grandfathers did after WWII and Korea. I think the biggest thing is more and more of the silent majority have decided not to be silent anymore as witness by the Tea Party, I wonder it some day we'll have a polictical part called the Tea Party with its own canidates? Having be stationed in Upstate New York I can tell you most people up there would like to remove NYC from the state. Your right the people in the City and the rest of state have entirely different outlooks on most things. I personally think the UN has out lived its usefulness and have done nothing for the US in many years and we should show them the door.

My pump was manufactured in Turkey also. My only complaint is no one makes anything after-market for it & CD has never had the longer barrels or the ones with adjustable choke. However as a home defense gun it is fine.

Wow those Model 75s command some big bucks. I saw several at Guns America with really nice furniture. Let's see the Mossberg!!

I like the idea of the rope light and it will be very easy to install.

I know the NRA watches this at the UN closely and has status as a "Non-Governmental Organization" which give them the ability and right to monitor internal debate and have access to UN meetings that are closed to the general public, and is able to distribute informational materials to participants in UN activities. Plus even if the Obama adminstration would agree to a UN treaty it still has to be passed by our Senate. Also I believe there is a law that prevents foreign treaties from making any changes to the Constitution or its amendments.

I live in New Mexico, about 3 hours from Whittington and will gladly answer any question you have if I can.

Good work! I need something for mags that will fit a leg cargo pocket and was thinking of trying my hand at leather working.

After seeing that I'm going to paint the interior of mine a gloss white and add a light it is hard to see since it is in a closet.

Glad you joined us Trent, this is a fun place.

I'd be tempted more by the combo with 18.5 and 28 inch barrels.

Have you looked at the Charles Dalys, they have some decent prices. I have one of their pumps and can't say I know much about their semi-autos.

I have a KelTec P3AT 380 about the same size, great slipping into a pocket of loose jeans or shorts. I use a Galco pocket holster which fits both the KelTec and the Ruger.

DM are there restrictions on air rifles there? I started my son on an old Crossman 760 Air Rifle with variable pump, he couldn't have been more than 10. When I was sure he would be safe with it I bought him a .22.

I believe several states are getting very sticky about were guns are kept, luckily mine isn't one. I have a Stack-On gun cabinet I keep my rifles, shotguns and any pistols I'm not using in, my two carry pistols are in a push button safe in my armoire. However, I keep a 1911 in my night stand drawer, a XD .45acp in a false kleenex box in the livingroom and a Beretta 92FS in the file cabinet in the office. The last 3 may seem excessive but home invasions are far to common in this area.
