  2. With all the interest of late in the forum about air guns, I remembered Lewis and Clark carried one on their expedition. Being the history nerd I am I looked for more info on it, here is what I found. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girandoni_Air_Rifle
  3. Our sponsor Airsoft Atlanta has fantastic customer service! I ordered a rifle from them yesterday, the one I ordered was actually out of stock. They called me this morning and asked if I wanted to change my order to a black one or wait till some tan ones came in within the next week. I said I'd wait, not 2 hours later they called back and said some had come in today and mine would be shipped to day.
  4. We recently had a "Total Wine & More" store open here. It took over the old Borders store which is grocery store size. The selection of wines, beer and hard stuff is mind boggling. I bought a 4-pack of an old favorite from my days stationed in Germany, plus a make your own six pack of ones that looked interesting. They are scattered around the country, they can be found here http://www.totalwine.com/
  5. A step in the right direction. I think the GAO should confiscate all the excess ammo and armor they bought, and auction it directly to the America public only. Then the ringleaders of this scam need to be charged and brought to justice.
  6. No stock only. I think the matte stainless barrel and receiver and black scope will fit right in with the pattern.

    Air Soft

I needed something to work with, the Spike's and Del-ton are spending way to much time in the safe because I don't want to shoot up the ammo.
  8. Shipped the stock today, hopefully have it back in under 3 weeks.

G&G Combat Machine CM16 Raider AEG Long - Desert Tan (Battery and Charger COMBO) from Airsoft Atlanta specs out very close to my Spikes ST15. Says the battery should last for 1600 shots. I sense my savings getting smaller.

    PCP

It is fairly accurate, but it seems to use up the gas quickly, I guess because it is a blowback design. I bought it because it's the same size and close to the same weight as my Citadel 3.5" 1911 which is my carry pistol, and has a very similar trigger pull. I practice my drawing and new drills with the Caspian first.
  11. Somehow I believe there is one out there!

    PCP

I have one which works on propane, does that qualify as pcp?

I believe the local sheriff's department uses them for "Force on Force" training.

  15. Well I found a work around for the pictures, I put them all on a thumb drive. Still haven't figured out why I can't see them from the browse on the C: drive.
  16. Natchez has Butler Creek 10/22 Steel Lip magazines in stock.
  17. I've decided to have the ATI stock on my 10/22 [ hydro-dipped by Strickland Hydrographics in the "Snow Leopard" pattern http://www.stricklandhydrographics.com/images/patterns/Camouflage/WTP-460-Snow-Leopards.jpg
  18. All of a sudden I can't get to my picture files in folders in the My Pictures directory from our attach block nor Facebook either. It will only let me see the pictures in the main directory which is only the ones I haven't assigned to a folder yet. I have no problem viewing my pictures when off line. Any ideas what has happened?
  19. I ate at High Finance years ago, when I came here for a job interview, can't say I was impressed. They are the second most expensive restaurant in the Albuquerque area, Cattleman's Club has it beat price wise. When I did tours people complain all the time about High Finance, so I stopped recommending it, and would recommend County Line (just down the from the tram station and Sandiago's which was at the tram station and serves Coastal Mexican food. Haven't been up there in since then, my wife is afraid of heights.
  20. Tomorrow is Willa and my 7 wedding anniversary. We went out today to a BBQ place called "County Line". She order a whole rack of ribs, thinking they were Chili's size baby-back ribs, nope these could have been used to tip over Fred Flintstones car at the drive-up. I had a combo platter after swearing the waiter to secrecy if my cardiologist called. Yum yum, brisket, beef and pork rib, peppered turkey and sausage. The restaurant sits in the foothill of the Sandia mountain and overlooks all of Albuquerque, beautiful view if you like browns and tans >:D
  21. Makes you want to send that person a copy of "Soylent Green".
  22. I've been buying a box of ammo or reloading components the 2 times a month I get paid and have been doing so for many years. The only thing I buy in bulk usually is .22 cause I to shoot an average of 1000-1500 a month, now less than a brick until it I plentiful again and reasonably priced.
  23. I refuse to give up am pressure cooker
  24. I've never been in a Gander Mountain, are they has much a temptation as Cabela's and Bass Pro. My wife doesn't trust me in either. My closest Wal-Mart is selling tactical rifles, both .22 and M4 clones.
  25. I've never tried either, my 10/22 has a Timney drop in trigger which I like very much, it has a 1.725 pull. Not something I'd carry hunting but I use mine for a tactical rimfire match monthly.
