I spent part of the morning finishing the last stage of our Tactical Rimfire Match tomorrow. We'll have 3 stages, 1 I named Shoot and Scoot you have to rapidly change location 4 times, shooting targets during 2 of the moves. As always we have are New Mexico Star (had to change the name NM law) which is always fun. Search YouTube for "Texas Star" if you want to see how much fun. Both of those stages we'll shoot with rifle, then pistol. Last stage is a pistol only, designed to deal with a car jacking. Truck is in the garage loaded up with all the gear.
I caved in today and bought something I really had no need for a pistol size cross bow. Eighty pound draw, but has a easy to use cocking device. Getting the bow string on was a major chore, involving a vice and tie down strap.
We have a guy in our Tactical Rimfire matches who shoots one of these, he does very well. I added one to my want list, which is far to long already
Went out to the garage to shoot it today, it is pretty accurate. I have an old bin I set up for shooting my sling shot at or rather into, it works well for this also. Just for grins I may have to put the rubber bayonet on it.
Sportsman's Warehouse Albuquerque Got .224 55gr bullets today no gouging, but they only had 1-4lb and 2-1lb containers of power of types I have no use for at all. Ammo none, not even snake shot shells.
There is some here (NM) if you want to stand in lines to wait for it. Haven't bought any so I have no idea what the prices are like, I have neither the patience or time to stand in lines. I've been concentrating on bringing my reloading components back up to the level I like to keep.
