Our state legislature which only meets once a year for either 60 day or 30 days (election years) ended yesterday. We state pro-gunners managed to defeat every anti-gun bill filed for the year. The last bill went down to the wire, but never made it to a vote. Considering the legislature here is controlled by the liberal democrats I think we did pretty good. Now we start to work on defeating some of those liberals next year.

We had our monthly Tactical 22 match which are always fun. Today I hit a milestone with our rendition of the Texas star, in the rifle portion I cleared it all 3 times with just 20 rounds only five off of prefect. Plus in pistol I manage to clear it each time with a single magazine of ten or less. I was pretty happy with it. We had only 7 shooters today, but important to me we had 2 boys under ten who came and shoot with their Dads.

I went to Sportsman's Warehouse yesterday to look for a bag for my new Savage. Didn't realize it was the day they received their shipments. What a mad house. The line to to counter dispensing ammo & powder was more than half the length of the store and it is a pretty big store. The gun counter was operating from a waiting list for each clerk, there were a lot of clerks working and each of them had more than a page list of people who had signed up when they opened at 9am. The cashier told me as I was leaving the line had gone across the parking lot and well over into the Costco lot next door and had started at noon the day before. Interestingly everyone who was waiting in lines was doing so patiently, not the crumbling you see anywhere else when something like this happens. In my mind it shows just the decency of people who participate in the outdoor sports hunting/shooting/fishing.

Brownells is having some problems right now it seems. I guess it boils down to none of the gun industry marketplace sellers were staffed for the insanity the liberals set off. Providing they aren't price gouging I'll ride it out with the ones I trust.

Maybe being a hockey commentator makes a difference. DON CHERRY, Canadian Hockey Commentator for CBC Television, was asked on a local live radio talk show, what he thought about the allegations of torture of suspected terrorists. His reply got him ejected from the radio station. Speed is what I need with the ability to hit 4-8 steel plates Precision and my pistol shooting ability and precision doesn't compute ::) My Buckmark is the pistol I use in the Tactical 22 matches which is all about speed. However it is the one aspect I practice the least. In thinking about what I want to do with my tax refund, my thinking is moving to other areas, since I just need to practice more before I start buying fancy gear. Now a Tactical Solution's barrel for my 10/22 is an item of interest. There as some other guns I want also, possibly a Mossberg 500 with the flex system or a S&W Governor.

My buckmark has a bull barrel, but I was just looking for a longer sight radius, when in truth I just need to practice more or try something other than open sights for our Tactical Rimfire matches. >:( Getting old eyes sucks.

No actually most of Europe has been infected with it also, Great Britain did it first during WWI. I'm of the opinion if you want to have more outdoor time get up earlier in the summer, but let me sleep at least until the sun comes up.

They have it, it is actually 7-1/4" inch, which would be why my searches all came up blank. Sadly it appears to only come with a threaded end in 4". I may have to reconsider, I was hoping for the 7+" with a threaded barrel so I could later add a supressor.

Anywhere know of a site I can order a 7-1/2" Trail Lite Tactical Solutions barrel from. We have a dealer in the area but he isn't above price gouging and I'd rather not deal with him.

That was the last backorder but I have several "notify me when in stock" with Midway, Widners and Brownells.

I received one of my backorders yesterday of 250 pieces of once fired .308 brass. Midway came through again.

If that clown had got a hold of it, it would have ended up as the GOC (Gay Outdoor Channel) or something equally liberal.

Ooooo I like the color combo on it.
