I have 2 Armscor 1911s. A 5" GI model under the RIA name and a 3.5" Officer model under the Citadel name. Both have been very reliable. I notice RIA has put a new web site finally one with some actually facts on it, I'd buy from them again.

I actually made it to the range twice this weekend. Yesterday for the Tac .22 Match. Today with the wife and step-kid to shoot my new bow, wife's Christmas crossbow, plus the kid has a bow also. I need lots of work on bow shooting I was on the paper 75% of the time. Deer see me with a bow and fall down laughing, then if I'm fast enough I can run over and stick an arrow in a vital spot. >:D We also did a little pistol shooting. My wife has an XD .45 Compact and a LC-9, which her and the kids were shooting. I was shooting my Browning Buckmark, which I need to work on more since we've started using pistols in the Tac .22 matches. Would it be a terrible thing to say I prefer to go to the range alone.

very interesting I have a stand for mine but nothing that fancy http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Attachments/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=220-01 and a plunge router base also.

Ordered a McFadden magazine loader for my Buckmark today after I tore off a quarter of one thumbnail when the hold-down button on a magazine slipped. Also a fiber-optic front sight for the same pistol.

You'll be field stripping the AR in record times very quickly.

I have go defensive guns Spikes Tactical ST-15 and Mossberg 500. I also have lots of 9mm ammo, but only one SHTF pistol to use it in. I was just curious if the Hi-Points were any good. I'll have do some more research I'd like to know about the difference between 9mm brand x from a pistol and from the carbine.

I've always been some what interested in the Mini-14s, and have shot other peoples on several occassions. The only thing negative I've ever heard was its accuracy at longer range wasn't as good ARs. I don't know if I'd put much credence into the statement since I don't co,pete at long range. Besides I don't use MOA as my standard but MOBG (minute of bad guy). The stock is the same set-up as the one I have on my 10-22 both made by ATI. There is enough rails to place light, laser and vertical foregrip on it.

I like the bore snakes as well, cause it lets me do a quick cleaning when a tear down isn't warranted. For heavy duty cleaning I have carbon fiber one piece rods for my .22s.
