I ran into the same sort of thing once on a woodworkers site because I mentioned I wanted to make an old hand saw part of my shop sign and was told pointly "If I wasn't going to use it for wood working I didn't deserve it." Some people are just way to wrapped up in themselves or something.
I'm not a southerner, I was born in Maryland and then moved every few years until I was mid 40s, so I don't what group I fit into ;D. I thought when I moved back to New Mexico from upstate New York I'd never think of it as cold here. This winter so far has had some very cold spells worse in ten years. I doesn't help taking blood thinners, I'm pretty sure they cause you to feel colder. Plus I've been basking in the New Mexico sun long enough now to have shed the NY layer of cold protection. Oh well it is suppose to warm up by Wednesday. :thumb:
I've turned into a fair weather shooter, I use to go anything it was into the 40s. Maybe I've just been spending to much time indoors and have lost my resistance to the cold. I guess I'm gonna have to work on that or get me some thermal drawers, cause I refuse to pay $20 plus to shot at the only indoor range. Well the weather guessers are saying mid 40s by the end of the week and I do need to adjust the scope on my 10/22 before this months Tactical 22 match. So that Michelen looking guy at the range may be me :P
I didn't even make it to midnught EST, much less Mountain time :-[. I was snoring peacefully snuggled deep in the cover before then. Last night our low at the house was 4.7F degrees.
No I think I'll have the upper in Febuary, having the lower in the gun cabinet and seeing it regularly will speed up the saving process and enhance the amounts
I guess I'll stick to 5.56/.223 since I don't see me getting involved in any long range shooting competitions, nor am I a hunter. I figure the AR will give me the range I need beyond, my 12ga if the zombies ever come >:D
