  1. Finally got an email from Model1 Sales... my AR kit has finally shipped!! (Four month wait) ;D
  2. I can't fault anyone moving away from crap like that, did it myself after living in California fro 30 years. But we need a different model, or we will run out of places to flee to.
  3. I think "king barack the first" is astounded that anyone would go against his express wishes. The grudge match will begin now. Look for a flurry of executive orders.
  4. Background check defeated!
  5. Ye gods - $80 bucks a brick????
  6. I just used two Federal Bulk 525's as partial trade for an inversion table.
  7. Thanks everyone. I will do my best. First order of business: Red-headed dancing girls for everyone! What?, but... yes dear. Sorry guys, the Sweetie says NO. Guess I can spring for a new light bulb and Coke. I will be setting up the First Annual Tac22 Postal Match, we will have prizes and everything. (Yes dear, NO dancing girls) Details to follow as it gets a bit warmer outside. TM
  8. Hi and welcome to Tac22. For standard velocity ammo, the adjustment screw should be flush with the housing. For high velocity ammo, turn the adjustment screw clockwise 4 full turns. You can turn it past 4 turns, but that will eventually wear out the spring.
  9. Outstanding!!
  10. Well, I like the site and have had fun here, but it has slooowed down a lot. I'm good with what ever you decide, and want to help, except: Don't let Rodent post pictures on the main site!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
  11. 2001 Blazer, 134K, has been very problem free, other than a fuel pump and normal maintenance/upkeep.
  12. Coolant leaks can be obscure. So, got the Blazer all back together, and it wouldn't start, cranked but no start. Tried it until the battery was almost drained. Let it sit while I "re-thought my strategy", (turned the air blue), and started checking the basics. Checked the fuel rail, plenty of pressure, hooked up a vacuum gauge, turned it over to get a reading and it started right up. Arrrr.
  13. They are fun guns!!! :thumb:
  14. So, my Blazer has had a small, intermittent coolant leak for years - no puddles, just missing coolant. Pressure tested OK, shops couldn't find anything wrong. I finally took a good look at it and found the intake manifold gasket leaking. Tore it down Sunday, got parts and got most of it back together yesterday. Finishing it up between rain showers today. So I checked it out on the net, and found that the Blazers were very susceptible to this issue, because of the gasket - plastic and rubber, and GM's use of Dex Cool anti-freeze. (The orange stuff) The new gaskets are metal and rubber. Go figure.
  15. Good one!
  16. I was thinking that we should get into the postal match thing. Set up a postal match for different categories of tac .22 rifles, winner gets a tac .22 patch or something... Might get some traffic during the slowdown. Of course, a moot point if most folk don't have any ammo.
  17. Outstanding! Thank you sir!!!!!
  18. Now obama is telling folk that the Newtown massacre was caused by a fully automatic weapon. LIE
  19. Yeah, exactly. Can you imagine what it must be like to be in a conversation with a group of these idiots?
  20. This is a quote from what passes for leadership in Colorado. CO State Rep. Diana DeGette (D) "I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those now they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available." (April 2, 2013, Denver Post forum) :o What must it be like to have such a low understanding of what occurs on our planet?
  21. Just saw the news on Drudge, a government card to buy ammo? Guns banned? Is Drew gonna move? >:(

    Easter

Happy Easter everyone - Step daughter #2 + boyfriend came over for a nice dinner, then I went out and played in the garden and got the waterfall running in my pond. A good day, semi-warm, some sun, robins singing... now I am looking for some candy.
  24. Clean and lube it good, sometimes the factory lube/preservative can gunk up. Mine took a few cycles to loosen up. Some of the features on the Colt .22 are cosmetic, bolt release, forward assist, and on the early models the dust cover - some wouldn't open on cycle, some wouldn't stay closed.
  25. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your Colt. I sure enjoy mine.
