Just a little??? I must be slipping. ;D

I hear ya. At least I will set out a cardboard box...
-
It wasn't actually too bad.... except that my .223 brass melted in when it hit the ground, then quickly froze. Had to chip it out with a screwdriver.

Just for fun Smurf, I will have to shoot it at least once. Although I see that these things are priced pretty high on Gun Broker. Story that came with the gun is that it was purchased in 68, one mag (7 rounds) was fired, it was cleaned & placed in a safe. It came with a box of ammo missing 7 rounds, but the box does not appear to be 47 years old.

Thank you, thank you very much.

Nice! :thumb:

Fun little guns, surprisingly well made.

Yep. think it was Jeff Cooper who said (paraphrased): "If it makes you feel safer to carry a .25, then by all means do so, but whatever you do , don't shoot anyone with it, because if they find out about it, they will get angry and may hurt you"

I just picked up a "Junior Colt" .25acp. LNIB with 2 mags, papers and cleaning rod. It was shot once, and has been in a safe ever since 1968. ;D

I guess if someone has to suffer through it, it should be you. ;D Thanks MG! (Snowing here)

Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard - Help Me Please!
techmike replied to Flieger's topic in HK 416 D .22 Tactical Rimfire
AS MG said above, most Airsoft accessories will fit the Umarex models of .22lr rifles. Some AR parts will, but most do not without mods or fitting - for instance: AR15 pistol grips will fit, but you have to drill a second hole for the hammer strut to go through. On the Colt M4 Ops model, airsoft hand guards fit, AR15 hand guards won't. If you think of the Colt/HK .22 rifles as having been built on an airsoft receiver, then covered up to make it look like an AR, that kinda works. We have a member that did some remarkable work with a Colt and airsoft parts. Have to look back and find his posts. -
Small nut huh.... On page 18 of the manual, (pdf attached), item #60 is a "screw nut". There are a few of them, they hold the inner receiver together. The corresponding screws are supposed to have a coating of thread lock to stop this issue. I am guessing that you have had one come loose & drop out. I do not have the H&K, I have the Colt, but both are made by Umarex, and both are near identical inside. Click HERE, and then click on the power point link and you can see step by step instructions for getting it apart. Be sure to read that caution about where parts may jump out and are not to be found again, and also how taking it apart this far would probably negate your warranty. But it is not too bad if you are handy with tools. TM 6485_770e5652a605a5a26ad1efebe8f7fb106ddef461.pdf

Well, the site was hit kinda hard by .22lr ammo availability and high prices. And this is the slow time of the year - I know that where I live it is freaking cold. Tends to make me keep my rifles in a nice warm safe.
-
yes, my understanding is that the die indexes on the neck of the cartridge and trims to the correct length. This procedure is done after sizing.
-
Yes, no more measuring brass, just trim it to spec every time quickly and easily.

     I do not know.

I have one, a blued 6 incher with the 2.5" chamber. I have a shoulder rig for it, it is actually quite comfortable and concealable. Only problem I had was when I tried small diameter shot shells, #7's, I got a face full of shot that bounced off the target frame at 7 yards. The shot spreads very quickly due to the rifled barrel..... I only load it with OO buck and .45 lc. I really like the looks of the new ones with the polymer frames.....

My most dreaded task when reloading rifle cartridges is measuring/trimming the brass. I saw this gadget in Shot Gun News, and it is up next on my "to order list" - $132 for the gadget, $20 per caliber bushing. Trim-It-II There are some U-Tube videos of it in action.

Had a data base error - Drew fixed us up! :thumb:

Thanks MG. I was under the impression that ATF had (some time ago) curtailed importation of most smaller pistols - which was why the foreign manufacturers had built plants in the US as a way around the importation ban.
-
Looks like I will get it next Tuesday, it is one that was made in Italy, guess they can no longer be imported. Looking forward to a double digit capacity .380.
-
Thanks MG. :thumb: I think I shall snatch it up.....

Those are sweet MG. How do they shoot?
