I have an option to get a Beretta 84fs - .380 - anyone had one?
-
I don't know about negative reviews, the work that he did for me was first rate, as I said the cost was $45 and he paid the return shipping, took about a week. You should give him a call, or send an e-mail. You know how the internet is, a competitor can sandbag you with fake complaints.....

There is a lot of .22lr for sale online. I see it as low as .06/round. Gun Bot

I hear ya talking - I am not fond of sights that die with a battery, which is why I like scopes that may or may not light up, but still function if the battery dies. That being said, I use my Colt .22lr as a practice platform for for one of my AR's, so I have the same scope set-up on the .22 as the AR. On my Sweetie's AR, I do have flip-up rear BUS, co-registered with a true-glow red dot and the front sight tower. You can get the MagPul polymer ones for under $50. Just a matter of preference. And depth-of-wallet.

I would not use an air rifle if noise is a factor - well, I would not use mine - it is loud. A .22 bolt action rifle and Colibri powderless ammunition is as quiet as it gets. For instance, if I target shoot a can in my back yard, I hear the trigger release/firing pin noise, then a clank from the can. Obviously it doesn't have the range of a regular .22lr, but I can nail back yard pests with that set-up all day. http://www.ammofast.com/collections/rimfire/products/aguila-colibri-quiet-22lr-not-for-semi-auto-20-gr-500-round-brick

I have a Gamo Whisper in .22. Put a pneumatic and trigger upgrade in it, very accurate and powerful, so much so I don't use it much in the back yard. If I need critter control I use my Marlin .22 bolt action with Colibri ammo.

Got a nice trigger pull, and the motto on the side..."If it's brown, it's down" really, no shit!

I spent a lot of time & $$ trying out different scales & measures, THIS is the one I now have for rifle loads. Not real fancy, doesn't store load info, but it is very accurate. I checked the first 200 loads from it with a very accurate scale, and it was well within +-.3 gn. It has an insert for when you need to meter stick powder, like Varget. It is compact, and I have had zero issues with it. Zero it. Input your target weight. It dispenses. Move the pan to pour the powder. Replace the pan. If you have it set to auto, it dispenses the next load. TM

Thanks Michael, Happy New Year to you and your Sweetie!

Got my new barrel, now waiting for the longer gas tube that it needs, mid-length vs M4. I picked up a single stage drop-in trigger while in Oklahoma - got that installed. Wow, what a difference! Can't wait to get it out to the range. 3.5# pull. :thumb:

Yup, winter, between holidays....

I know for sure and for certain, I am getting a chrome lined heavy barrel for one of my ARs......

Guessing that is a component of the decision making paradigm.

That has been the subject of much discussion. I have theorized that somewhere in the USPS is a "training coordinator". This person, a pay grade PS - 19, received her promotion to this unneeded position by performing the "horizontal bop" to one or more managers. She has a ged, but no college education or associated job skills. She no doubt gets a sizable yearly bonus for outstanding job performance by insuring that her training budget is entirely exhausted and applying for a larger budget for FY15. Next year she is scheduled for promotion and will gain a staff of 6 minions. She has been "fast tracked" to become the youngest VP of Technical Training, even though she has issues setting the time on an alarm clock. Meanwhile the actual mail gets slower and slower. Toledo's mail is now sent to Pontiac Michigan to be canceled, then returned to Toledo for sortation and distribution. We actually had one days worth of mail that was sent to Grand Rapids Michigan for cancellation - a 372 mile round trip. When you understand that each mail piece has a cost for processing, then you add needless transportation and fuel costs, the price per mail piece skyrockets. Any savings that might have been realized by closing a facility is swallowed by the increased cost of doing business. So, to answer your question, I have no blinking idea why they sent me to school.

Spent 3 weeks at school in Norman, OK. Got to go to a gun show in OKC, picked up an AR trigger and a nice Damascus knife. But real good to be home. :thumb:

That looks like fun, nice looking wood!
