Very Nice! If you have never tried it, get some Colibri ammo made by Aguila. It contains no powder, just a primer and a 20 grain bullet. In a bolt action rifle it is nearly silent. Lot of fun to use, and great for backyard plinking.
Sucks, doesn't it? I have read stories of folk with progressive presses that had a primer light off when they unknowingly tried to compress a large primer into one of those with small pockets. Boom.
Hey Smurf, does your airsoft have a hop up? If yes, that can cause it to shoot high, and can be adjusted. I adjusted mine until it is effectively off. More accurate at short range, which is where I use mine.
I ordered some of THIS STUFF from Palmetto State Armory. I just tried it out in my Colt, and was pleasantly surprised. No malfunctions of any type, the ammo was very accurate at 50 yards, (sub-minute-of-chipmunk), and point of impact was 3.5" higher than Federal Bulk ammo. The S&B is coated with some type of lubricant, so my fingers got kinda gunked up, but otherwise this is good stuff. It is selling for $.09/round, comes in 50 round boxes and I don't think there is any limit. I ordered 2K, and am considering getting some more.
Can't say regarding yours, but here is why I quit using the fake can. All of the Colt barrel attachments, (fake can, flash hider, ect), have an o-ring that assists in centering the barrel in the attachment. If the o-ring breaks, point of impact will change every time you loosen / tighten the attachment. Check out the picture of the inside of my fake can. At least my o-ring is still there..... If it is missing it can be hard to figure that out. Plus, the OEM o-ring is a flimsy little thing - I milled out the flash hider a bit and put an oversize o-ring on it, and have not had any further issues.
I think the least expensive Fed Value 525 I have ever seen was $15.95. Long time ago. $0.09 / round seems to be the current "low" price online. That has been inching down over the past several months. And there is .22lr stock almost every where online.
