  1. Jonesing for a new gun so I rummaged through the safe to satisfy the itch to fondle some strange and dragged this Beretta out. OMG! I'd forgotten how beautiful this magnificent bastard is. With it's massive size and weight it is imposing. The huge iron sights are a joy, the walnut thumbrest grips are artfully crafted, the trigger is light & crisp, the slide is easily cycled with 2 fingers. The only drawback IMO is 8-round mag capacity, which is odd considering the size of this piece. Just thought I'd brag a little.
  2. Interesting info. Thanks.
  3. God help me. I haven't purchased a firearm in about 5 or 6 weeks and am already suffering the DTs. Don't knock me off the wagon now.
  4. I'm pretty fond of my vertical grips. Looks like the solution to a nonexistent problem to me.
  5. Being a Florida resident since 1965 I know what you mean. Just gotta love the Daytona.
  6. Nice. Some days it pays to get up. :thumb:
  7. I've owned many ARs. The Colt M4 is my first .22lr AR (ish). But, if it had been otherwise I'd find the new .22lr dedicated ARs a gateway drug. Pure fun.
  8. Yeah, I think I'd like it better without the riser too. Looks good. :thumb:
  9. First off, I'll assume you believe this fine new equipment will enhance the quality of your finished products, so, who am I to argue? We'll be needing to see some really fine, well crafted photos posted. And starting real soon. Use all the new stuff. Yeah.
  10. Sounds like you're getting your allotted giggle quotient out of it. :thumb:
  11. Yep, I've owned about half a dozen over the years. They are cool. My favorite is the .22short version which is about half the size of the .22WMR copy. I've got a .22short that mounts in a belt buckle. It's cute as a speckled pup, but sooooo slow to shoot well. They're just trinkets IMO.
  12. My guess is it'll be light years better than that NAA Mini thumb buster you've been carrying. Miniature single action revolvers would never be my first choice in any defensive situation.
  13. Nothing quite like a hot barrel on a cold day.
  14. Wow
  15. Looks like a fairly dead smurff to me.
  16. Shhhhhh....and we won't tell anyone any different. ;D
  17. I installed a Timney trigger in my CZ 452 Varmint. Made a world of difference. Worth every penny.
  18. Keep 'em coming.
  19. I don't think so. I believe Colt's mags are proprietary.
  20. Uh oh. A heli pilot.
  21. Burglarized but never robbed. We've been cased a bunch of times but since we all carry openly they've never leaped. The Cash Americas and Value Pawns don't allow their employees to carry so they receive all the armed robbers attentions. We love those guys for taking all the heat and keep meaning to send them a Christmas card to show our appreciation. ;D
  22. It just happened again. I can't even remember how many times this has happened to me in the course of my pawn broker duties. A guy just walked in, looked me in the eye, reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a pistol to pawn. The urge to defend myself was almost overwhelming. How stupid can people get? The funny part, if there can be one, is he thinks he's being cool, in the know, a gunslinger. This is what happens when people receive their training at the movies. Idiot!
  23. That's why they invented liquor stores. Good luck.
