Jonesing for a new gun so I rummaged through the safe to satisfy the itch to fondle some strange and dragged this Beretta out. OMG! I'd forgotten how beautiful this magnificent bastard is. With it's massive size and weight it is imposing. The huge iron sights are a joy, the walnut thumbrest grips are artfully crafted, the trigger is light & crisp, the slide is easily cycled with 2 fingers. The only drawback IMO is 8-round mag capacity, which is odd considering the size of this piece. Just thought I'd brag a little.
I've owned many ARs. The Colt M4 is my first .22lr AR (ish). But, if it had been otherwise I'd find the new .22lr dedicated ARs a gateway drug. Pure fun.
First off, I'll assume you believe this fine new equipment will enhance the quality of your finished products, so, who am I to argue? We'll be needing to see some really fine, well crafted photos posted. And starting real soon. Use all the new stuff. Yeah.
Yep, I've owned about half a dozen over the years. They are cool. My favorite is the .22short version which is about half the size of the .22WMR copy. I've got a .22short that mounts in a belt buckle. It's cute as a speckled pup, but sooooo slow to shoot well. They're just trinkets IMO.
My guess is it'll be light years better than that NAA Mini thumb buster you've been carrying. Miniature single action revolvers would never be my first choice in any defensive situation.
Burglarized but never robbed. We've been cased a bunch of times but since we all carry openly they've never leaped. The Cash Americas and Value Pawns don't allow their employees to carry so they receive all the armed robbers attentions. We love those guys for taking all the heat and keep meaning to send them a Christmas card to show our appreciation. ;D
It just happened again. I can't even remember how many times this has happened to me in the course of my pawn broker duties. A guy just walked in, looked me in the eye, reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a pistol to pawn. The urge to defend myself was almost overwhelming. How stupid can people get? The funny part, if there can be one, is he thinks he's being cool, in the know, a gunslinger. This is what happens when people receive their training at the movies. Idiot!
