  1. Welcome
  2. Welcome
  3. Top to bottom: HK USP 45, SA EMP 9 (that I'm wearing today), Kahr PM-9 and KelTec P-32.
  4. will do.
  5. Kahr PM-9 came in yesterday. A little bigger that I thought it'd be but still very small non the less. Looks very nicely made.
  6. Merry Christmas
  7. The Black Dog Machining mags I've owned (no drums) have been very good.
  8. Rolling your own 10/22 is a lot of fun but a slippery slope. You'll be forever lusting for that "new, just on the market" part. An alternative 10/22 is the factory Volquartsen complete rifle which can be found on the used market for $500 - $1000. They have threaded receivers & are truly excellent rifles.
  9. OK. Since I've been bad mouthing the Chiappa 1911-22 based solely on appearance I decided to run a few rounds through it. I didn't feel like being fair so I only fired Remington Golden Bullet 550 bulk pack ammo. It digested it surprisingly well with only 1 malfunction, a stovepipe. Accuracy though was horrid with 4-6" groups at 20'. All groups were low left. Of course I pre-decided not to like the pistol so maybe I didn't give it my best. I've owned pistols in it's price range that looked better and shot better but none were a 1911 lookalike in 22lr.
  10. That could ruin an entire weekend.
  11. Hey, snow. That's what they invented .22's, bullet traps and basements for. Just turn the stereo up really loud. :sniper:
  12. Going to my sister's for dinner.
  13. Cool and gray here in Tampa, but no snow. I love Florida.
  14. No OOB discharges with my Colt.
  15. Love Dayton. We were just confused about nation of origin. We thought the pistol was foreign made but when I received it the only address on it is Dayton. Hence our surprise. As to the pistol, Gunblast likes all guns. My impression of the pistol is it's of questionable build quality. I'd never buy another and would never recommend one. But if anyone wants one, I'll sell mine cheap. My opinion is formed on the basis of appearance only since I've never fired one. Please keep in mind that over these many years I've become somewhat of a gun snob. An unfortunate byproduct of lifelong firearms ownership.
  16. It is near the Christmas break of the school year. The students have turned in all their work and there is really nothing more to do. All the children are restless and the teacher decides to have an early dismissal. Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can leave early today." Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart and will answer the question." Teacher: "Who said 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?" Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln ." Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home." Johnny is mad that Susie answered the question first. Teacher: "Who said 'I Have a Dream'?" Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King." Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go." Johnny is even madder than before. Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?" Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy." Teacher: "That's right Nancy , you may also leave." Johnny is boiling mad that he has not been able to answer to any of the questions. When the teacher turns her back Johnny says, "I wish these b****** would keep their mouths shut!" The teacher turns around: "NOW WHO SAID THAT?" Johnny: "TIGER WOODS. CAN I GO NOW?"

    Kahr PM-9

Just ordered me one a few minutes ago. Took me months to find one wholesale. http://www.kahr.com/PA-1_9mm_pm.html
  18. Welcome
  19. Sure do. You want it?
  20. Well, the Beretta is far and away the superior pistol but this one fits the collectable niche.
  21. Yes, it has a rotary barrel locking system. It was designed by Reed Knight (co-designer of the AR-15) who licensed the mfg. rights to Colt who was looking for a polymer wondernine to get in on the craze. It was too little, too late and failed. Colt found they had to sell them at a loss to generate interest, gave up after a year of production and returned the tooling to Mr. Knight. It's short production run coupled with low production numbers + this 3.75" bbl. make this a sure BIG $ collectable for someone in the future.
  22. I have the standard 4.5" bbl & the ultra rare 3.75" optional barrel. (Try to find that one). It took me 9 months to get this barrel from Colt, who just wanted to refund my money.According to Colt only 80 short barrels were ever ordered so they decided to pull the offer. It took many months of threats to get my 3.75" barrel/bushing back in 1991 but here it is. It's a guaranteed collectible with both barrels. BTW, I tried it against every DA pistol we have and only the Para LDA had a lighter trigger pull. It's trigger is lighter than SIGs, HKs etc. But the trigger stroke is very long. Some folks talk crap about stuff they have no personal knowledge of.
  23. The laser is strictly a fast reaction CQB sight so therefore has no bearing on your choice of optics. Being that they operate independently of each other and under different circumstances your optic choice should not hinge on your laser. Your barrel length should be more of a determining factor in optic choice. So, whatever floats your boat is fair game.
  24. Buy an iPod just for her and tell her to leave yours be. iPods are too personal to share. :thumb:
