I no longer own my Colt, but it was an early one and it's dust cover would not latch as well.

The current assaults on our 2A rights are bringing the voices of the pro 2A majority of Americans to the national stage. I just read on another forum of a shooter using GSG 1911-22 magazines sucessfully in his Kimber rimfire. So by extrapolation I'd guess that Kimber magazines will work in your SIG.
