I purchased a brick some years back and it worked just fine in most of my 22s, but those with match chambers would not readily accept the slightly oversized Fioccho cases. Don't know if the mfg. has corrected this problem or if this was a fault of that particular lot. Haven't tried any since.
If I'm not mistaken the trigger guards made for the Umarex airsoft ARs will fit your HK without modification and I believe they are offered in almost every style out there. Check further before accepting this advice.
Firearms and ammunition are being manufactured at a record pace. Unfortunatly, the big dealers are receiving "favorite son" status and getting the lion's share of available stocks. So if you want anything, get in line at the mega dealers and get ready to pay mega dearler prices.
The Kramer holster I ordered for my EMP just came in after a little over a 10 week wait. Man, is this one fine looking holster and it appears to be worth the wait. I'll be wearing my EMP tomorrow. :thumb:
I don't know what I'm thinking but today I decided to strap on my RIA all steel, double stack, 5" 1911-A1 loaded up with 19 rounds of 22TCM. Man, this is one heavy load. Phew!
I think if or when "they" outlaw future production of magazines with capacities in excess of 10 rounds that's when you'll see what people are really willing to pay for them. I'm holding on to mine for now.
The M&P 22s came in on Wednesday. This is the first chance I've had to handle one. My first impressions are that the pistol looks reasonably well made. Internally the full sized M&P22s are near duplicates of the petite Walther P-22 pistols but S&W says the slides are aluminum instead of ZAMAK like the P-22. This a major plus for me. The ambidextrous safety levers are made of plastic and although I'm sure they'll work just fine I see this as a negative. The M&P22 does not have interchangable back straps like it's centerfire bretheren and is built in Germany by Walther. On the positive side the trigger is fantastic for a pistol of this type. A little on the heavy side, maybe 5 or 6 pounds, but breaks very cleanly with zero creep but noticable over travel. I could live with the stock trigger easily. These pistols were shipped with one 12 round magazine and I'm fairly sure additional magazines will be hard to come by at this time. But this is true universally right now. Although I own many 22lr pistols that are theoretically superior to the S&W M&P22 that doesn't keep me from wanting one and have one I shall.
I find that if you adjust the single point sling properly and loop the sling over your shoulder and push the pistol away from you until the sling is tight the AR pistols shoot very similarly to a short barreled rifle. You can even rest your cheek on the sling. I find this a very effective way of shooting these pistol versions of rifles.
I purchased, from Wally World I think, flexible plastic dental picks that are perfect for getting the crud out of the nooks and crannies. Does this pistol have a mounting point for a single point sling on the rear?
