Glad to meet you Ernie. I also own a Remington 597 VTR and like it as well.

A 50 round steel drum mag came with my Puma PPS and it wasn't very good. Broke the first time I used it. The distributor exchanged it for two 30 round mags that have functioned flawlessly. These were not BDM mags which I've heard work much better.

I voted for "within 3 months" (because of Tal's reply). Made it easy for me man. Hey Tal, the AR platform has become the "thing" because it not only looks good, but also because it performs good as well. A nearly irresistible combination.

In hindsight my buddy says he wished he'd have held the BG there but, in the adrenaline rushed state of mind he was in he just wanted the danger to be over as soon as possible and this is what seemed prudent to him at that moment. Police agreed, saying that might have prevented a grapple for any one of the four loaded hand guns present and presented.

That's almost always a good philosophy.

One of the guys I work with is a Voodoo equipment fan and it seems like very good stuff. Don't much like the skeleton on the gloves though.
