I sold my Colt M4 OPS after purchasing a CMMG Sierra and couldn't be happier. Good luck with your new rifle.

Congratulations.

I forgot and opened this thread again. My eyes...oh my eyes!

This past Sunday morning, one of our part timers was at his regular convenience store coffee stop and was speaking with the clerk when he saw the clerk make an odd face and uncover his concealed handgun. My buddy turned to see what alerted the clerk and saw a black male slamming the door open and entering with extreme attitude. My friend readied his handgun as well, a Glock 23. The suspect customer went to the back of the store, slammed the cooler door open, chose a soda and proceded to the counter where he slammed the soda down. This "customer" then began reaching for his wallet but my buddy standing beside him could see him retrieving a 1911 pistol instead. Up came my friends pistol which thumped the bad guy in the back of the head because he was standing so close and yelled "don't do it buddy". The bad guy threw up his hands and said no,no, I'm cool, I'm cool. My friend then pulled two pistols from the back of this guy's pants and told him to get out of there. They got the guy's tag # as he peeled out of the parking lot and then called the police. The police told them "job well done" and after taking their statements, the BG's pistols and the video tape, left. Both pistols had been reported stolen.

Riser worked perfectly, nearly. Had to file off a couple thousandths from the bottom inside corner of the left clamping dog. Very minor indeed, I had to study it awhile just to notice it needed this. Co-witnesses with the holosight.

Yeah, I'll have to recend my statement. I've also seen some rimfires being bumpfired on YouTube as well.

imschur - Tomas Borobia classical guitar?
Microgunner replied to Microgunner's topic in General Talk
Tomas Borobia answered my e-mail today. He says he remembers this guitar. It was custom ordered for $4750.00 and includes upgrade Sloane tuners and a scale length of 640mm instead of the standard 650mm. He says it could sell for as much as $5k to a few players in the country if you could pair them up, but for an instant sell, $1900. We'll try for something in between. Mr. Borobia was a very nice and polite person to communicate with and I thanked him for his prompt response. -
I've tried the Dragon's Breath. No where nearly as impressive as the website leads you to believe.

I didn't even know they were available.

Ordered the YMH-230 riser from Joe Bobs Outfitters on Thurs and received it today (Sat). Fast shipping. Here's what it looks like. Rifle is at home so mounting will have to wait.

This has been hanging on our wall for sale for 6 months, I couldn't resist it any longer and just bought it. It feels so good in my hands. The way I understand it is it's a CZ75B with a grip frame the shape of a 1911, albeit thicker. 12+1 shot .40S&W.

Please stop posting that photo. My stomach is fragile in the mornings. ;D

Slide Fire stock on S&W M&P15-22
Microgunner replied to Microgunner's topic in S&W M&P 15-22 Mods and Upgrades
It's legal here. Friend already owns one mounted on his 5.56 AR. We just didn't know it would work on a 22lr AR. -
It works! Must have...must have...

Congratulations, these are cool. I own the PLR-16 5.56mm version of this pistol. It seriously rocks.

Story from a Kansas State Highway Patrol officer : I made a traffic stop on an elderly lady the other day for speeding on U.S. 166 Eastbound at Mile Marker 73 just East of Sedan , KS . I asked for her driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance. The lady took out the required information and handed it to me. In with the cards I was somewhat surprised (due to her advanced age) to see she had a conceal carry permit. I looked at her and ask if she had a weapon in her possession at this time. She responded that she indeed had a .45 automatic in her glove box. Something---body language, or the way she said it---made me want to ask if she had any other firearms. She did admit to also having a 9mm Glock in her center console. Now I had to ask one more time if that was all. She responded once again that she did have just one more, a .38 special in her purse. I then asked her what was she so afraid of. She looked me right in the eye and said, "Not a damn thing!"

A couple photos of mine the day I received it.

I bought a CM-2 new about 5 years back. I had the top of the receiver milled down, drilled and tapped for a Leupold Marlin 336 sight base. Fits perfect. Couldn't get the front sight off so I had the smith cut the barrel down 3 inches and re-crowned. All this work was done by Ben at Guncraft in Ruskin Florida and is beautiful. I pillar and glass bedded the action and free floated the barrel myself. Mounted a Japanese Bushnell 24x scope. That sucker is one serious tack driver, possibly my most accurate rimfire, and I own some seriously accurate rimfires. If yours is anything like mine you're in for a real treat.

Thanks Tal. All I've been able to find out is they're hand made to order one at a time, about 15 per year, there's a waiting list and the only price I could find is $4750.00 new, but I'm not sure about this model.
