Ever see the bullet fired from your rifle?
Microgunner replied to Michigan Joe's topic in General Talk
I've seen other peoples rounds go down range many times depending on temperature and humidity but seeing my own rounds is difficult due to recoil. -
Felons gotta live, work and shop somewhere and it's always near other people. Just be glad he didn't shit where he ate.

Glad to meet you. :thumb:

Of the firearms I already own I'd choose my Browning Citori 12ga 3" S&W M&P-15 Tactical 5.56x45 Anschutz 1710 .22lr Kahr P380 .380ACP S&W 686 .357mag These would cover most needs for me.

ISSC Mk22. No more compliant.... (stock-fail!)

Some parts of the US also forbid folding and/or collapsing stocks. -

Dutch law forbids folding stocks? -
Just ordered the 9mm X-Change kit and an extra mag for this P226. This makes (3) calibers now. All I'm lacking is a .40S&W barrel, the E2 grip conversion and the short trigger to complete my (4) caliber P226 project.

High quality target air pistol into a pellet trap in the living room helps get folks through the winter doldrums. I've been lusting over a Baikal IZH-46M.

Shot the P226 with the .357SIG upper installed today. Woo Hoo...fun..fun..fun. Recoil was far less than I was led to believe, less snappy than my .40s, but it is loud. Maybe the P226 design aids in recoil control? Don't know. But I gotta say, other than ammo costs the .357SIG is a lot of fun to shoot, and accurate too. Glad I've got one.

Clark Custom 10/22 Barreled Action
Microgunner replied to imschur's topic in Ruger 10-22 Mods and Upgrades
Cool. When you do make sure you bed your stock. 10/22s absolutely require bedding to achieve their optimal performance. -
How will it get from your dealer to you? Here in the US the buyer must receive the firearm in person from the dealer and sign for it at that time. Cannot be shipped directly to the buyer.

Clark Custom 10/22 Barreled Action
Microgunner replied to imschur's topic in Ruger 10-22 Mods and Upgrades
Can't speak for the Clark Custom 10/22 barreled action, never seen one but have always heard good about them, but I can speak of the Volquartsens. I own (2), a .17HM2 and a .22lr, both standard versions, and they really shine. I was a little leery of spending this much at first but the second quickly followed the first. What I first perceived as "spendy" now seems like a complete bargain. -
I've seen some of these Clark Custom mod 41s in person and believe me, they are bad clean to the bone.

In my experience the 1-4x is the better choice for a .22lr field rifle. If I'm going to use it for target then I just jump up to 24x or maybe 36x. I've found very little use for a 3-9x scope on a .22lr rifle. Just make sure whatever you choose for a field rifle is parallax corrected down to 10-15 yards.

I'm with crash. I just purchased my first Blackhawk Serpa single retention holster and I don't know why I waited so long. It's great if you don't mind Kydex. I also own a couple Blackhawk leather holsters and find them top notch.

After that many rounds and that many years I'd say the recoil spring should be replaced, even if re torquing the sight base helps.
-
That's on my list as well, along with the E2 conversion, short trigger, short return trigger and Blackhawk Xiphos tactical light. Already bought the holster that fits the light.

Welcome to T22. I own one ISSC product, a M22, and it's a fine little pistol. Hope to hear more from you about your new MK22.

Great choice. I'm gonna sell my Colt M4 .22lr, GSG Kalashnikov & GSG-5 and buy one of these with some goodies. :thumb:
