There used to be available an add on checkered front strap that consisted of a checkered sheet metal appliance that was held in place by the grip studs and grips. Don't know if they're still around.

Not only good looking but practical as well.

I'm not much of a fan of front strap checkering. Prolonged shooting bare handed inevitably leaves my hand on the verge of blisters.

We get them in used here at the pawn shop all the time. We fire the .22 cal crimped blanks from revolvers. More fun than fire crackers.

Ooooo...Weeeee....Damn! That's a tasty one. I just looked up the wholesale price of the HK USP 40 Custom Combat from RSR Group and it's $1088.00. MSRP is $1450.67. $850.00 sounds pretty cheap for a minty example. RSR only offers it in .40S&W. Magazines are a mystery to me too.

I'm with asmurff. I believe the perfect camping gun is a .22WMR over a 20 ga. My preference is the Savage 24 series.
