Switched coils between cylinders #4 & #5 and had Auto Zone recheck. Still cylinder #4 misfire so this rules out the faulty coil over plug. The computer also read lean condition on cylinder #4 so this pretty much means it's the fuel injector. They didn't have one in stock so I had them order one. I found a couple videos on line of the intake manifold removal on a V6 Escape and it doesn't look too complicated. I'll give it a go this weekend. Wish me luck.

Welcome. The Colt, HK, S&W & SIG rifles you've mentioned are all well made fun rifles, but are dedicated to .22lr only whereas the CMMG you listed is a standard AR lower and is therefore compatable with centerfire uppers as well as accepts AR trigger and stock upgrades. (the S&W M&P15-22 will also accept standard ar-15 trigger parts but not centerfire uppers). I believe the CMMG Quebec A 22 is by far the best choice among the firearms you've listed. Good luck.

CCI seems to make some of the best general purpose .22lr ammo available.

Sounds like fun. The range I frequent banned hard targets a few years back because of a couple minor bounce back accidents. Now it's all paper & balloons. I sure miss shooting bowling pins. Wish I could compete with you guys.

Hello form Orange County So Cal. I'm a bit of a rimfire junky

Welcome. I too have a rimfire addiction. But hey, there are worse things. -
I don't hunt anymore but the cold weather still stirs the desire. I agree, there's no substitute for a quality scope. All my scope problems have come from bargain priced optics.

Fine looking workmanship. -
Not yet but I don't even have a socket to get that goofy Ford long shaft spark plug out.

I've decided what I'll do is switch the coil pack between cylinders #4 & #5 and go back to Autozone for another computer check. If the computer reads cylinder #5 misfire I'll know it is the coil pack, if it still reads cylinder #4 misfire I'll know it's not the coil pack and probably the fuel injector and buy the appropriate parts at that time. I hope it's the coil pack because the intake manifold has to come off to change a fuel injector.

Beautiful neighborhood. I heard on the news last night that Florida is the only state out of all 50 with no snow, including Hawaii. But it's cold enough to snow, 23 degrees F this morning on my deck. Brrrrr...

My 2007 Ford Escape 3.0 V6 check engine light has come on. Rough idle and noticeable misfire after about 15 miles of driving. After it rests for a day it runs well (even though the CEL is on) for about another 15 miles then starts running rough again. Autozone computer said cylinder #4 misfire. Damn thing is 4000 miles out of warranty. Could be coil over plug, could be fuel injector, could be spark plug, could be ?. Any mechanics out there that might have any ideas?

New M16 owner - Sight and Stock questions

Welcome to T22. Removing the front sight will be more accurate because of parallax. Using a riser will be easier. I chose to use the Walther P55 red dot sight because the battery compartment acts as a riser. -
That one looks nice and clean.

Woo Hoo....fun fun. The MN are a piece of history and shoot great. :thumb:

I brought a P22 magazine from home and checked it against a SP22 magazine here at work and the magazine tube is the same between the two but the base cap is different because the P22 has a thumb release and the SP22 has a heal release. The P22 magazine would not work in the SP22. I don't know about visa versa.
-
I assume you're referring to the magazines. Walther lists (2) different model numbers for the P22 and SP22 magazines as well as the magazines are printed with only one pistol model # on their side, so, I'd say no.
