  1. My local academy sports has about 800 boxes of .22LR in stock, so it is still out there. Bought some this morning....will probably buy more tommorow.
  2. the commando is a SBR I think....so you'd need a tax stamp for that one I think.
  3. I know it bugs me when I cant find detailed photos of a gun online. So when I get the chance with a new and fairly rare gun, I usually shoot lots of photos of it to share so if there are any other folks thinking about a purchase, they can see what they are getting. Also, its nice to see the guts of one before you buy, since most gun shops get a little irate if you start disassembling their showroom guns. Glad you like em. If anyone wants to see a specific part that I didn't post above, let me know and I'll shoot a shot of it for you.
  4. I have to tell you, Umarex/Walther really REALLY stepped it up on this one. There is no doubt in my mind that they seriously considered the feedback on their other offerings regarding the nightmare of disassembly and cleaning. This is by far a radical departure from the norm, and wonderful result of a company listening to its customers. I rate it a 10 for easy of disassembly/cleaning. Also, it feeds and ejects like a .22 should. It kicks the empties straight out, and up. No oddball flinging one direction, and then another. It is smooth, and consistent. My only complaint about the rifle is that the magazines are EXTREMELY difficult to empty unless you shoot them dry. Once loaded up, the rounds fit so tightly and exactly into the mag, there just is no space to thumb them out if you need to. Ive found the easiest way to empty them is to just load it up, and cycle the gun manually to empty them all out. The rifle is HEAVY....It has some SERIOUS weight to it. Accuracy test coming soon...with photos. I'm very tempted to benchrest it, because its weight and solid construction makes me think that off a sandbag it will drive tacks better than any of the other tactical .22's. Although it's so tempting to just empty a mag as fast as you can from the hip. The reset is very short on the trigger, so I'm wondering if perhaps this will be the .22 tactical that you can bump fire. At the very least you should be able to empty it very quickly.
  5. If you use the included allen wrench, you can remove the front grip exposing a picatinny rail for the attachment of lasers/flashlights/vertical grips, etc. [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/579638_4461106845489_2076935937_n.jpg [img width=800 height=267]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/563841_4461107525506_897917895_n.jpg Front Sight is a standard detent post style. 6. The rifle also comes with a quick detach sling mount, and two mounting points. One on right rear, left front, and the folding stock has a non-removable sling point. [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/488083_4461097405253_1616340099_n.jpg [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/535041_4461105645459_1322018235_n.jpg The rear stock folds, with the push of a button...easy, and is very rock solid and sturdy in both the folded and extended positions. [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/544569_4461103525406_6009927_n.jpg [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/535846_4461103965417_729596722_n.jpg [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/222683_4461102925391_379803662_n.jpg [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/539736_4461103285400_838271979_n.jpg
  7. Ok, so here are some pics of the UZI. You probably wont find these details anywhere else online. So enjoy. On the top of the UZI at the rear sight is a button, you press it back and the whole top of the reciever just pops right off giving you access to the guts for cleaning. No tools required. [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/558060_4461108805538_841560718_n.jpg Once the top is off, you remove the cover off the bolt. Then pull the bolt to the rear, and the entire bolt, guide rod, recoil spring, and buffer just comes right out. The bolt cover [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/555953_4461094125171_982028052_n.jpg The bolt [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/563065_4461093565157_346091247_n.jpg The guts removed showing the trigger assembly [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/563338_4461093045144_119041114_n.jpg Then you pop one pin out of the side, and the whole trigger assembly comes right off of the reciever. [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/44277_4461109165547_638524698_n.jpg Trigger assembly removed. YAY!!!! [img width=800 height=535]https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/535927_4461108405528_1441795949_n.jpg
  8. First, only a newb would shoot trap with a skeet gun. Second, he obviously sucks if he is shooting near level, as he missed the apex, and is late to the draw. Third....I dont even think thats a shotgun, it looks like a PCP rifle to me. There is a chinese company called ShinSung, that makes precharged pneumatic shotguns, and that looks like one of them. Nevermind, on second thought that is a Citori....the XS Skeet I think. And why does he only have one barrel choked?
  9. It all depends on exactly what kind of training you want. Are you looking to improve your actual marksmanship (accuracy) skills. Pistol or rifle? Look into IDPA or IPSC, and the NRA competitions which include the National Matches, Bianchi cup, etc. In any case, when it comes to increasing your marksmanship, COMPETITION is the absolute best teacher...period.
  10. The barrel is a pencil in a shroud. The pencil barrel comes out of the front of the receiver, and is threaded on the muzzle end. There is a thin metal shroud that goes over it, that fits into the end of the receiver, and stops just short of the threads at the muzzle end. Then the suppressor has a 1/8" thick metal tube through the middle of it. It slides over the shroud, and sits against the receiver on a flat rubber washer. Then the actual barrel threads into the end cap at the muzzle end of the suppressor. (***WARNING***) DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IN YOUR POSSESSION A BATF TAX STAMP FOR A NFA SUPPRESSOR MANUFACTURE FOR THIS RIFLE!!! THIS IS A FEDERAL FELONY WITHOUT THE NFA TAX STAMP, AND YOU WILL SPEND TIME IN PRISON. DONT DO IT. To convert it over to a real suppressor... You would remove the thin shroud, cut it down to about half of its length. Put it back onto the gun, so that it would keep the suppressor itself aligned properly. Slant slot the barrel to let the gasses out. Remove the end cap from the suppressor, and pull out the 1/8" tube. Mill two sides of the tube down so gasses can enter the suppressor. Then you can either make baffles, or just wrap the 1/8" tube with steel wool, and reinsert it into the suppressor. Install the end cap back onto the suppressor. Then thread it back on to the rifle just like normal. Because of the construction, it would end up being a sealed integral suppressor, so it would be NFA on the entire rifle. Which is kinda nice, because you could SBR it on the same tax stamp I think. And cut the suppressor and barrel down a bit if you wanted to. The rifle has some amazing possibilities, for anyone that enjoys class III NFA firearms. As far as Zamak...I'm pretty sure the bolt is cast aluminum, and not zamak, but with steel reinforcements in appropriate places, like the guide rod slot, and the buffer. The reciever is definitely cast and milled aluminum.
  11. I can tell you this....its built like a tank. I dont know what it weighs, but it is not a light gun, and could probably take some serious abuse. Its hardcore in the construction category The reciever appears to be aluminum, and probably cast. its thick and solid. It has a pretty simple bolt set up. Just a chunk of metal (think 10/22 bolt) with an extractor. it has a guide rod to keep it in alignment inside the receiver, a spring, and a buffer at the back. Ejector is just a blade ejector like so many of these tactical .22's. The top of the reciever pops right off after you press a detent near the rear sight. Once the top is off, the entire internals are right there. Makes cleaning it a breeze, as you can pretty much pull anything you want out of it, and there is plenty of room to get a scrub brush up in there with some Hoppe's 9. The rear sight is a peephole type site, that has two user selectable diopters that just flip. Front sight is a simple AR style post with the detent for elevation adjustments. The barrel is 18" so, it should be pretty accurate. I'm pretty sure I can expect about the same results as a stock out-of-the-box 10/22 from it. To be honest this thing is an ideal SHTF bug-out gun. Small, compact, durable, and concealable. Full range report coming once I can get it out to the range. I cant wait.
  12. Just keep in mind that ol' Feinstein already knows about this one, and SPECIFICALLY put it in the banned section of her new proposed Assault Weapons Ban that she is going to try to ram up our keisters. So if you likey...go buyeee....before you can't.
  13. Ok, so I saw this Umarex/Walther .22 UZI at the gunshop today. Picked it up, and it has some serious weight to it. Its heavy, and solid as a rock. Its nearly all metal, except for the grips. Stock folds out. Suppressor is a hollow can, and would probably take a little bit of work to convert over to a live suppressor. Its hard to tell, but it appears like the end cap threads off (if its not welded)...which should make it pretty easy to convert. ....or of course you could SBR it, which would be cool too. (You can do it with a tax-stamp, I am not suggesting you break the law) 20 rd magazines. The front grip comes off, and there is a picatinny rail under there that you could attach lights/lasers/or t-grips too. Its a darn shame it doesn't fire from open bolt...or you could pin the firing pin and just slam-fire the shiznit out of it. (legally of course) So anyway, I had to buy it.... Seriously, a folding stock .22 UZI that will fit in a backpack, oh this is gunna be fun.
  14. These idiots are so stupid....they dont even know that Obama's own Obamacare directly tells them they cannot do this. Section 10101 of the Affordable Care act (Obamacare) which says:
  15. So what's accuracy like with the Pac-Lite? Any noticable difference?

    50 BMG

I just want to meet the guy that would be willing to pull the trigger on that.
  17. Just remember... DHS has to carry their ammo to my front door. I get to stand on the other side with a belt-fed .308 and 42 ammo cans, and don't think for a moment I wont fill the hollow metal front door full of tannerite ahead of time if I know they are coming. The holes are already drilled in the top.
  18. No more would the mascot of the forty-Nanner's take any flak from the other team. OR Last time, the monkeys at the zoo threw poo at Joe....this time he had a plan.
  19. Bump fire??? That's my only guess. Try getting a real loose grip on it, and just letting it rock against your trigger finger and see if it will run. If so, that's pretty cool that a .22 will do it. I can do it with a AK, or AR any day of the week.
  20. Dump PC, get Mac.
  21. For burgers.... Spray bottle with Lea&Perrins Worcestershire sauce. Fresh (and I do mean fresh) peppercorn. Grind peppercorn all over the burger, and spray with sauce while cooking. Flip, peppercorn it again, and continue spraying till cooked to preference. For Steaks..... I have three preferences depending on what I want. Ribeye or New York Strip - Montreal Steak Seasoning.....nuff said. T-bone - Mix garlic powder and butter together. Sprinkle sea-salt on steak, slap it on the grill, right before its done, put a dab of garlic butter on it, and toss it on a plate. Porterhouse - SLOW COOKED, after marinating overnight in dale's seasoning. That's all you need, and make sure you cook it slowly enough to stay juicy. Filet Mignon - Marinate overnight in cabernet wine.....then cook to medium or medium well. Chicken - I usually shish kabob chicken turkish style... 4-6 chicken breasts 1 cup plain yogurt 1 tablespoon paprika 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (to taste) 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 lemon, juice of 6 tablespoons olive oil 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper 1/2 cup grated onion Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Add chicken, cover & refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.

    wow

It is the center fuel tank for the old space shuttle.
  23. Highly unlikely that we will ever see it in the states...its a SBR. However...if you are willing to do the NFA paperwork, you might be able to get one.
  24. Yeah, but its still cheaper that IPSC or IDPA..... And God help you if you ever get interested in cowboy 3 gun shoots....cause you will need to rob a stagecoach to play with them.
  25. Perhaps they could make a lefty design for you....assuming you could find a left hand ejecting 10/22.
