  1. :bang: no drew no, that's a bad drew. soon you'll have the quietest gun collection in ct. :thumb:
  2. more wind, fantastic.
  3. the father was not punished or found responsible for negligence, the promoter was found innocent, acquitted by the jury despite all the evidence. they actually felt the father was the one who should have been on trial but never was prosecuted by the d.a., so the only one punished was my club.
  4. Let me simplify: Dont buy an Epiphone and expect a Les Paul Supreme quality. Both can make a lot of noise and are fun but one has a lot more attention to detail.
  5. safety measures at that time then? 2. it was against the law. 3. the club leased their property to the promoters without making sure all laws and club laws were obeyed. i'm sure i missed something, this topic was a heated debate for a while and many of us here got caught up in it. if you have any questions i'll try to answer but my bottom line is this: my daughter is 5, won't shoot till she's a little older, then on a single shot bolt .22lr, learning safety and form. when she's ready she can move to a mag fed bolt .22lr, then onto a semi .22lr. I don't feel that there is any other way. this was a tragic accident that could been prevented.
  6. okay guys, i will chime in on this one. this is my home town, my club, and my fiance works for the superior court and was assigned this case. now i will give you some more facts than masslive, which only reported some facts and left out quite a bit in their "human interest story", they don't always do the best job of "reporting". first off the club did not assign range officers, the promotional entity did, the sons and nephews of the promoters, 14-22 year olds. the boy assigned to the father and his sons actually recommended the full size 16" uzi for easier control and the father said his son wanted that one and thats what he'll shoot. now i do not agree with the boy that young shooting any auto weapon so my view is out there. the "range officer" then asked the father if he was going to help his son and he said no he was going to tape it. i saw his tape. the boy twice lost control during a burst before the accident and the father did not intervene, and the range officer tried to help by telling the boy how to properly shoulder the weapon, but it was to much and he ended up tucking the folding stock under his arm pit leading to the accident. the father was not charged, the promoter was, and the club which only provided a place for the event was fined and had to contribute to a charity also but was abandoned by the nra for the entire debacle. there are plenty more facts, but the gist of my post is, 1. the "poor" father is an er doctor who said that he and and his sons regularly shoot. why then neglect all
  7., they look nice off the rifle anyway, good purchase
  8. and think what a modern shuttle could do.
  9. i like to see it continue, in a few years, after an overhaul and refinancing. the space program has made infinite technology advances in our society. newer shuttle designs and funding could further our reach in our own solar system and progress what we think we know
  10. that would look awesome :thumb:
  11., who got into my head, get out of my head :o. that is beautiful man :thumb:
  12. i'm near drew and lucky, but let me tell you, there is a difference. where i work, we do plastics, and we have heat. last year,as it has not really heated up in the north east yet, we had 143 degress at my machine with 120 percent humidity as we cool with water. it f$#ck*ng sucks. i have been to vegas and to florida and i have to say, humidity is what'll get you
  13. wish that was a .308, and that suppressors were legal here >:(
  14. so sorry micro, i have two pits and they are the biggest babies. my dad has always had big dogs, mastiffs and saints, and our biggest was sam, a 194lb female mastiff. take care of the big girl, and onetip i can give you is have a "dog towel" available. we taught sam to lick her lips when she was drooling, but no others have mastered the trick. i say try while she is young by touching her jowel after a drink lightly and repeating. if it takes you will be ahead of the game, good luck buddy :thumb:
  15. don't feel bad, i live 3 mins. from savage and know people who work there, if it sells i can get you a discount >:D
  16. of all the ammo i shoot .22 is by far the dirtiest little buggers out there.why is that?
  17. i had issues and found federal champions cycled better than all others
  18. i have a stock gsg5 and cci and federal champion rds seem to run the best, but i have had some trouble with other ammo
  19. at least its only .50 cal, not anything big
  20. went out today and put 350 rds of .22 down range, some federal gameshock and federal champion rds. 4 ftf (failure to feed) , all gameshock. i think for now i will stick to the champion rds and begin to plan on some polishing and mods in the future

    OMG

that is a nice .45! smurf, you might get more by selling her into a chinese labor camp >:D
  22. my father asked me to shop his smith and wesson model 27 in .357 magnum for him. it was originally purchased new in 1975, has 40 rds through it and is in like new condition, i'd would call blueing in 100%. haven't set price as of yet, i am going to check gun broker to get an idea. pics are from my phone, sorry about quality
  23. Love the motto
  24. Currently the rifle is unmodified, and it happening with all mags, even new out of the box. i am currently dremel-less. it happens at an unpredictable rate so i don't think it's a feed issue from the magazine. sometimes i can get one or two full mags to go and and the same mags might jam the cartridge one or two times each in the next feed cycle. it stumps me, and i will try all things i can do without going over my head. thanks and keep em coming :thumb:
  25. ok, i'm not an armorer, nor do i feel i even should attempt any of this, i am more of the bolt on/drop in modifier. i do,however, want my gsg5 to run, not only better, but at it's maximum. my first post i had was about a bolt overrun issue where it will jam a round into the feed ramps.it doesn't happen all the time and i've tried different ammo and new mags. i'm out of ideas, i'm wondering what it would cost to have this hammer strut mod done and my issue looked at and who could do it. i like the gsg5, alot, and would love to see the difference. also, my rifle runs real dirty. is this typical? it's a gen 1 i believe and i mostly shoot federal game shock high velocity. thanks for any feedback. :thumb:
