nice tal, way to jump in with both feet. i am building my first ar in 5.56 now as i just ordered a mega arms billet full ambi matching set. i have two ar's in .308 and love the platform for it's versatility. let us know when it's time to upgrade, and bring a full wallet :o

wow, not sure how much changed between the 522 and the gsg5, but after about 1300 rds i no longer have any issues with my 1st gen gsg5. it eats all high velocity 22lr ammo, has no ftf or fte's, hopefully yours sorts itself out a bit for you. good luck, be safe

i thought so too, and it would fit my gsg5 i think because it has no integrated rail on the top, just a claw mount. if the top rail is removable….

i live in mass and had to do it, and just to be sure, i locked my upper in the safe while i did it, in case of anything, i don't know why but it seemed like a good idea

very good friend of mine has one along with several other friends, and the only thing i have heard is the firing pin breaking

one way is to use a bridgeport and drill through the the lower portion where the six position lugs are. i did it and used roll pins and then did two small spot welds to cover the pin holes, then clean up and paint. i thought i saw fixed carbine buffer tubes somewhere before, but can't find anything right now. if nothing else gets posted here try posting this in our .308ar forum http://308ar.com/forum
