Nice rifle....How about a range report.......

About 8 months I bought the Carbine model.....I changed the hand guard to a quad rail and removed the carry handle to add my tactical scope.........Over 5000 rounds and not a hiccup using Winchester copper HP 36g and Federal copper hp 36g and 40g round nose......................................1/2" groups at 25yard, 3/4" at 50 yards, and 2 to 4" at 100 yards. I have not tried the Winchester M22 or the "Improved Remington Golds".......................The regular Rem ammo sucked. I regularly bore snake with Hoppes #9 at around every 500 rounds and brush out the bolt face and chamber area.....

Just out of curiosity; why do you want a but stock pad?........22 cal doesn't have much recoil.

I have had my 15 22 MOE for about 8 months now.....I have the blue spring in my trigger.......My trigger is smooth and doesn't seem to have all that hard a pull.....No creep and a crisp break........I shoot from 25 to 100 yards and am happy with my grouping................................I think that all this trigger modding is just a fad....The 15 22 is not a match grade rifle and trigger mods aren't going to make it one................................

Too much lube in the receiver will cause carbon and unburnt powder residue to build up..........I have the Walther Colt C 4 which is the same as the 416 and I very lightly lube the bolt and other rubbung parts.....No lube in the bore.....If it looks lubed, it's too much.

I know my Colt C 4 pretty well and no questions come to mind......I want to attach a 4" long strip of picatinny rail on the bottom of my hand guard to allow the fitting of a three finger grip and that will be all the mods I will do on this rifle.

Techmike......The airsoft parts don't look like my Walther Colt C 4 parts........The airsoft receivcers are totally different.

I bought a generic AR 15 buttstock tube lock with a single point sling loop on it from my LGS and they mounted it in ten minutes........Cost $15

I am glad you had a good day shooting....I need to get out and shoot soon............I really enjoy my Colt C 4......I have a red dot on it now and it is hot stuff from 0 to 100 yards for general plinking.....I generally use Winchester or Federal bulk bricks with a FTF now and then.....I run the bore snake with a little Hoppes #9 every 500 rounds or so and brush out the bolt face and chamber........Most problems occur from dirt and 22 cal is a very dirty ammo.

Sell your C 4 carbine and get the C 4 Ops.......It will cost you more than it is worth to change over the Carbine to the Ops than it is worth.........I like the C 4 carbine because it is more like the 5.56 carbines and I don't like hanging junk off the pitcany rails like a Mall Nija.

Get into the habit of cleaning the bore and chamber with a bore snake with a little Hoppes #9 on it about every 500 rounds or so....Then a full field cleaning (per the owners manual) every 1000 rounds or so.....I have a 90* chamber brush and a tooth brush for cleaning the chamber and bolt......I probably have 5000+ rounds thru mine with very few FTFs. Shoot the rifle and enjoy it...Don't worry about the previous problem that was supposedly repaired.

My C 4 eats everything but Remington Gold.....I have never had to adjust the bolt speed.

Looks very nice....For crimey's sake please don't paint it all those weirdo colors....Black is what it is supposed to look like, not mall ninja tangreenish.

I forgot to mention it, but look each rifle up on the Internet and read many reviews.....

I have heard they are ok....I do not like them, but that's just me........The price is not bad as all of my 22 cal clones were above $450....With the exception of my GSG AK 47 22 which was $399.... They have rails on the hand guard where you can attach a wide assortment of accessories.............There are pics of my junk some where on this forum.

No difference in the upper, lower, barrel and the controls.......Different hand guard and stock........I have the Colt C 4 and love it and would probably feel the same if I had the 416.................The mags do inter change.

Pulled the red dot and see thru rail off the HK and mounted a reflex sight on the rail attachment..........Looks much better...Laser zeroed the reflex but havent shot with it yet.

Pulled the NcStar scope off and added a red dot scope to get the scope center line nearer to the center of the bore........So far the red/green dot scope is very good for plinking out to 100 yards.

Recently bought myself the S&W M&P 15 22 MOE ( my son has the Standard)....I tricked it out a little.......I have three other military 22 cal clones and I don't know which I like the best.

No mall ninja stuff here!......This rifle is for shooting and is very good at it.
